I don't understand situations where people are out and feel the need to entertain themself with a handheld, but don't have any sort of bag. A couple of you made fun of the pictures that showed people just playing the Vita in public. So why do you think that it has to be so small that you can do the same thing?

Hey I said "have", and I have a lot of things :P

....

Those pair are my favourite and I wear them the most. Haters gonna hate. :x

I just don't understand how these are comfortable. I tried on a pair and was walking around with them on. THE most uncomfortable pants I've ever worn. It was a horrible experience.

They're comfortable if you're skinny lol.

I have the travel pouch but i may need to simply get the carry case for it. I went all digital for this handheld.

I usually put it in the travel pouch and put that in my backpack. then i take it out when i have a moment of free time during my day in college.

When i was traveling to minnesota over my weekend, my brother was driving, i pulled out the Vita and played for quite a few hours on it.

To all the people who only play the portable games at home...why do you buy them? Couldn't you just use that money for more console/PC games? I'm not saying that to be a prick...this is an honest question.

Personally the flexability to play in whatever room, even in bed just before sleeping, is enough for me. But the added option of being able to take it out is always there too.

And fitted straight jeans own wide jeans. If you can fit a Vita or 3DS in your jeans, you're wearing clown pants.

Either you got really small pockets or you're wearing pantyhose. My jeans are fairly 'fitted' and I can still slip my 3DS into one of the pockets. I might not be able to sit though :P

There's a inner pocket in my jacket that can fit both the PSP and the Vita just fine, however once winter's gone I'll probably need to carry it in a backpack.

I have 28" skinny jeans and the 3DS doesn't fit in completely, but nothing a shirt or a coat won't conceal :) Vita on the other hand... I haven't tried it but forget the height, it looks too wide to fit in.

That means nothing. I wear 28" too... but a 3DS wouldn't fit in my jeans.

I could get it into the back pockets, but that wouldn't be comfy at all.

My numerous pairs of Armani jeans say errrr NO.

My Vita easily fits inside my pockets with the softcase.

I didn't realise brand had anything to do with what size you wear.

Every brand has different size measurements. Some brands fit perfectly at one size for me then another brand doesn't fit at all with that size.

i bought this case because i wanted something thin but also protected the screen and more importantly the joysticks. they fit fine with my jeans, on the left front pocket....although i could use the back pocket but i don't want to accidently sit on the thing. i don't wear skinny jeans...but i also don't wear early 90's baggy jeans...just loose fit jeans. anyway i love this case, heck it looks like how the system could have been designed. its called the hori face cover. but it lets u access all the buttons and even still use th rear touch (might be even better because it makes it easer to not accidently trigger commands by the back touch. anyway everything besides the simcard slost is accessable. again i love this thing...$12, totally worth it.

I dont use screen protectors or carrying cases for my Vita or iphone 4s. I just take care of my electronics. The vita fits fine in my jeans but don't carry it around often. Personally I think screen protectors are garbage because the biggest issue you can get after years of no screen protector are fine scratches that can't be seen unless under direct light. I get new phones every few years and have never had a need for a case as I just make sure to keep my phone in a pocket with no loose change etc. I find cases add bulk, screen protectors distort the image and generally make you more prone to actually damage your system/end tangent

Ya...Jeans is fine as long as you aren't carrying a case but I don't see a need for a case really.

every time i look at the vita it doesnt look portable enough. i recall the term portable means you are easily able to carry it around in your pockets on the go. the vita dont seem like it goes well in your pocket. how do people carry them on the go when going out?

Rahnyc4
Since when did the word "portable" mean "pocket-sized"? Laptops are portable am I right? The Gameboy Pocket was named because it fit in your pocket, yet the original was considered "Portable". It's annoying seeing people take these terms out of context.

I think it's just implicit in that handhelds tend to be pocket devices. Especially now with smart phones being marketed as gaming devices, it is important to have the "pocket factor."

I don't mind the size of the Vita; fits in my pocket. I dont take it with me many places. My gaming notebook is "portable" but it is very and bigger than 99.9 percent of "notebooks" and no way could I use it on a plane. The 330watt PSU is probably heavier than the average portable notebook.

So everything needs to be taken with some level of cognizance. Handhelds are competing with phones and size needs to be a factor. There will no doubt be smaller 3DS/Vitas in the future.

Can play wherever you want, as relaxed and laid back as you want, not glued to a TV, can play the same game without syncing saves even if you play away from home. Also, handhelds have many great games that aren't on PC or consoles, and it would suck having to miss out on them. Consoles are too inconvenient.

Totally. But just because he has some Armani jeans doesn't mean he's wearing the right size AND can fit a Vita in his pocket.

I used to think pockets were acceptable for carrying handhelds. I was wrong...

Broke the R button my DSi and before that the L button on my DS Lite.

It would be in backback.

IF ONLY. I want a Vita

I carry it in a carry case I bought for it. I go to the "field" a lot, so it helps in down time when not training or defending freedom. (I say that last bit seriously yet tongue and cheek)
