Zelda Twilight Princess

Super Mario Galaxy

Metroid Prime 3

Super Paper Mario

Wario Smooth Moves

Resident Evil 4 (remake)

Super Smash bros brawl

Mario kart wii- Probably will be good due to the series past

That about pretty much sums up all of the good games on the wii. All the other games that fanboys shoot their mouths off about are highly opinionated or just bad taste.

There are a couple of good 3rd party games in the works but where is this massive takeover fanboys are screaming about. With the success of the wii it should be just dominating on the software side.

Isn't it funny how not a single one of those games is a new IP? And they all could've been done on the Gamecube to top it off.

No More Heroes, Zack and Wiki, Fire Emblem, etc? Right. You know alot about the Wii.

Wii 2008 > Wii 2007. That's how it's looking anyway.

I'm no sony loyalist and have not owned a sony console. However, comparing the wii's library with the ps2's library in the same time frame even is ridiculous. The ps2's destoryed it then and now it's not even a competition.

And by the way other than Zelda Nintendo first party games are just kiddy nonsensical garbage and Metroid Prime was just boring. There I said it, hate me for it.

Yeah, I love video games as much as the next guy on this forum and yeah even though I want to play Super Mario Galaxy I still haven't picked up a Wii. Maybe it's because I'm an RPG fan. I guess nothing has been "must have" on that side of things yet.

It helps if the TC actually has knowledge on the system. Disaster is an example of a new Nintendo IP coming up.

I'm not comparing libraries, I am just comparing the Wii to the soon-to-be second most successful casual box in sales as was the point of you query.

What game on any console could not have been done on its predecessor? None. All you got was a shiny graphic update.

So a game is crap if it can be done on another system? The only thing that matters is the console the game is actually on.

Cows and Lemmings are right. Nintendo got it all wrong with the new controller and new game styles, as well as some old styles that were supposedly death, like platforming. What the gaming world really needs is an endless flood of first person shooters that look, play and feel exactly the same. The harder it is to differentiate one from another, the better. And if they're all based on World War II, that's even better.

Oh, and better graphics. Because masturbating to polygons is really important.

Why are you exicited for FFXIII? It's just a new FF game you've probly played 12 of them so far, I mean why get so exicted for it? It's got a graphics update... ok so what?

See as now we are on the same level of ignorance.

That is wrong in so many ways. First of all, the sheer number of features would not be possible on the Gamecube, due to lack of storage space. Graphically, the game is getting a significant upgrade, especially in terms of environments. The physics are far better than they were before, and the game runs at a consistant 60 FPS. It has online, and a lengthy and detailed story based single player.

Brawl is superior to Melee in every respect.

I am in the same boat. I still have MP3, Zack and wiki, No More Heroes, and Zelda TP to finish. I will be getting Brawl here soon along with a couple others in the next couple months. I love every minute I play and have no idea why people complain so much...oh thats right I am on a forum...

Umm, why am I excited for FFXIII? Because I have an FFVII avatar? Because I like a game from 1997 I must be dying for the new one from the emo hack that replaced the original creator of the series? The last good Final Fantasy was IX damn near a decade ago.

Don't assume, it just makes you look like an idiot. Go back to playing Wii sports you tool.

Oh, did your favorite game series deliver anything but a stellar experiance? Did the original creator leave? Hmm, the last good (Insert Nintendo IP here) game was (Insert latest game in series). Can't say that I've ever worried about that problem.

Oh wait, so you didnt say that from what you saw everything was the same. Considering you only saw things you only could've been talking about the graphics.

Its rather obvious you didnt play Brawl if you say its exactly the same as Melee. Because the gameplay is very different.

Well if you've already got it, and you have nothing better to play... sure... if you have anything else to do, probly not, the story isn't very gratifing, and the sword fighting gets really annoying. The shooting is ok at times and of course annoying at times too. I thought it was ok, but not something that I would have payed full price for. It does have some levels that are actually really intresting, but they are few and far between.

I actually own the game and I can tell you that its very different. Not to mention that there's tons of new features.

Oh and I have hardly played it with the Wii remote. Since I cant read Japanese, I havent invested much time in learning that control scheme yet. So even without the Wii remote, I already consider it to be a big difference. Ill get back to you as soon as I spent some time playing the game with the 3 other control schemes.

LINKloco

Only two good games you listed were Zelda and RE4 the rest is trash. And oh wait they were both on GameCube.....yeah the Wii sucks. The Wiimote is just a fad and of course when a console is $200 cheaper then the competition it will outsell.

And by the way other than Zelda Nintendo first party games are just kiddy nonsensical garbage and Metroid Prime was just boring. There I said it, hate me for it.

Bolded part is meaningless, itallic part is a blatent lie.

You're right on the bolding but every one of those games could have been a GameCube game, and from what I've seen of Brawl it looks exactly like Melee with new characters, how the hell are you people excited for that?

What game on any console could not have been done on its predecessor? None. All you got was a shiny graphic update.

While I own and enjoy all systems, this statement is very true.

Pot meet kettle.

Console are made for casuals. Calling the Wii casual when you are comparing it to other consoles is silly at best.

No More Heroes, Zack and Wiki, Fire Emblem, etc? Right. You know alot about the Wii.

Wii 2008 > Wii 2007. That's how it's looking anyway.

Erebyssial

I own the wii and all of those games suck imo. Also the sales numbers dont' 'lie either.

It helps if the TC actually has knowledge on the system. Disaster is an example of a new Nintendo IP coming up.

Look at this example of a hypocrite. Almost nothing is known of the game beside a few details and he knows it's going to be great. Yeah right.

How long did the PS2 stay ahead during its generation?

About that long...

travt-down
 Look at what the PS2 had to offer, and look what the Wii has to offer. It'd be a joke to compare the two.

[QUOTE="Can-o-Mark"]Oh wait, so you didnt say that from what you saw everything was the same. Considering you only saw things you only could've been talking about the graphics.

Its rather obvious you didnt play Brawl if you say its exactly the same as Melee. Because the gameplay is very different.

Ket87

I've watched gameplay vids. It looks exactly the same, oh wait you get to grab your Wiimote. Oh I'm sorry its soooo different.

What were you expecting, a completely unrecognizable game. Should Halo 3 have been a third person adventure? Should MGS be anything other than a stealth game?

You should be able to look at a sequel, recognise it for what it is, and be able to play it because even though changes have been made, it has the same skeleton as it predecessor.
