That's funny, I currently own 7 Wii games and you only listed half of what I had. No Zak and Wiki? No Trauma Centre? No Brain Academy? No No More Heroes? You didn't even bother putting Umbrella CHronicles on your list which has already sold about a million copies. Or the recent announcement that RE Zero will be coming as well. What about upcoming games like Final Fantary Crystal Chronicles, or Fatal Frame?

Frankly, the Wii is still selling out and analysts are projecting it will continue to sell out well into 2009.

Zelda Twilight Princess

Super Mario Galaxy

Metroid Prime 3

Super Paper Mario

Wario Smooth Moves

Resident Evil 4 (remake)

Super Smash bros brawl

Mario kart wii- Probably will be good due to the series past

That about pretty much sums up all of the good games on the wii. All the other games that fanboys shoot their mouths off about are highly opinionated or just bad taste.

There are a couple of good 3rd party games in the works but where is this massive takeover fanboys are screaming about. With the success of the wii it should be just dominating on the software side.

Ket87

Only two good games you listed were Zelda and RE4 the rest is trash. And oh wait they were both on GameCube.....yeah the Wii sucks. The Wiimote is just a fad and of course when a console is $200 cheaper then the competition it will outsell.

And by the way other than Zelda Nintendo first party games are just kiddy nonsensical garbage and Metroid Prime was just boring. There I said it, hate me for it.

^^bitter trolls with opinions^^

^^Irrate fanboy who is dying inside^^

Wow. Some haters really are childish. You can say that Wii only has two good games, but don't expect people to have the same opinion because it's completely insane.

No offense to your taste in video games, but Big Brain Academy? Maybe it's because I sometimes judge things by their cover, but these games look like a joke to me; possibly, because I'm not a big fan of "Puzzle" games -- but if you were to try to "convince" me to buy a Wii and this list was that you had to offer(w/ the TC's list): I would laugh.

The brain games are games, just not your typical game. It's good, but not for everyone, but even if you exclude it, there are plenty of other games that are worth while.

It will be #1 this gen so bash it all you want. And who really cares if people play it casually? Video games are for anyone that wants to play them and a Wii bought by a casual gamer is equaivalent to a Wii bought by a hardcore gamer, as it is for the other systems.

The attachment rate at one point was almost equal to the 360 and considering the WIDE amount of variety on the Wii (as opposed to the ONE type of gamer the 360 goes for) i'd say that's quite impressive.

wow, i haven't been to these forums in ages and i had no idea how much wii hate was going on. i have to say, it's by far my most played console, especially with smash bros. out now. i don't quite get the "casual box" definition though, it seems to be the most hardcore gamer centric console precisely because it's lack of graphical power makes developers have to really turn up the gameplay dial to make it appeal to people. is it because it has so many minigame collections? cause last time i checked guitar hero was one long, drawn out rythm game (plus talk about controller gimmic) but nobody seems to doubt its hardcore chops. or am i just thinking way too much about this and not realizing that people are just mad that it doesn't have halo, mgs or final fantasy? that must be it. i forgot that effeminate japanese rpgs, lazy, ugly first person shooters and avant-garde and totally hilarious (read: f***ing stupid and self involved) stealth shooters were the only games people should take seriously. god bless console wars.

As long as wii is cheaper by a good amt in comparison to ps3/360 then it will stay ahead - i know my brothers kids wanted a 360 but due to the cost they bought wii instead.

Isn't it funny how not a single one of those games is a new IP? And they all could've been done on the Gamecube to top it off.Lazy_Boy88

I rather have more makes games based on old IPs than new ones.

But there are new IPs which have done well on the Wii Z&W, NMH, Wiifit and Wiisports.

The real question isn't how long can the Wii stay ahead, it's how long can you, TC, keep stroking your ego and maintaining your "holier-than-thou" attitude before you realize how petty you're being?

As long as casual games continue to be released people will continue to by the Wii. Plus, Nintendo always been able to pull out an Ace in the hole, and I expect them to do the same throught 09' and 2010.

The TC seems to have a very limited understaning of the current state of the industry, which is starting to cater to many different audiences. He didnt even put WiiSports on the list, the game that has singlehadedly skyrocketed the Wii in the lead since its release. Games like SSBB and WiiFit will ensure people camping out for Wii's for the forseeable future.

The Wii will likely shatter the PS2's sales record when all is said and done.

Cows and Lemmings are right. Nintendo got it all wrong with the new controller and new game styles, as well as some old styles that were supposedly death, like platforming.LordQuorthon

Nintendo did the right thing making a new controller since having the same old one will get boring after a while. The 360 and PS3 controllers are the same like last gen just being wireless. As for old styles of gameplay, there are still fans old enough to appreciate those styles of gameplay from their youth.

What the gaming world really needs is an endless flood of first person shooters that look, play and feel exactly the same. The harder it is to differentiate one from another, the better. And if they're all based on World War II, that's even better.LordQuorthon

We don't need an endless supply of FPS. We need variety of generes.

Oh, and better graphics.LordQuorthon

Who cares for excellent graphics?! Gameplay is the selling point of games. Not EVERYONE cares for grapichs as I sure don't and there are others out there that feel the same. Graphics can sell a game to a certain degree, but it's the GAMEPLAY that sells the game.

For the entire generation,

Last gen we had about 160 or so million consoles sold, The Wii is appealing to the masses that would have not bought a console if not for the Wii-Mote aspect,

The Wii is marketing to a very different marketplace then the PS3 or 360 will.

Someone like my Dad will never buy a PS3 or a 360, but to play Tiger Woods inside during winter on Wii to get his golf fix it was well worth it to him.

There are a lot more casual consumers then gamers,

It helps if the TC actually has knowledge on the system. Disaster is an example of a new Nintendo IP coming up.

Look at this example of a hypocrite. Almost nothing is known of the game beside a few details and he knows it's going to be great. Yeah right.

i dont mean to butt in, but where did he say it was going to be great?

But to answer your question, sales are showing no sign of letting up, so it should keep its hold for quite a while

What i was trying to say is that the 360 appeals to a certain type of gamer, they type of gamer who likes ultra-violent action and racing games, just got look at all the best selling 360 games, you'll see what i mean. Is that a bad thing? No, it's obviously what MS is trying to do and their doing it well. HOWEVER there is millions of other gamers out there who may like those kind of games but want more, or a type of gamer that has no interest in what the 360 has to offer. I know it's hard for people to understand that. It seems you just want more games on the Wii that are like what's on the 360..why is that? If a game you wee interested came out on the Wii you'd just say it'd be better on the 360...that's what i don't get about all you Wii haters..
