I got one after the first price drop and honestly, aside from Ocarina - the game picked up when I bought the 3DS - I haven't so much as turned the thing on in many months. I guess I just like to buy every gaming device so I can have an opinion on it. Basically, I confirmed that a low res 3D handheld isn't my favorite option for gaming. Pokemon certainly does nothing to change this sentiment.
Why would you want a kiddy nintendo handheld when you could get an amazing gaming console created by the almighty Sony? I bought a PSP and DS Lite and it was waste of money. I own the juggernaut PS3 already, but yeah, PS4 is day fuking 1 brah,
got a vita so i'm good on the handheld front, I kind of grown out of pokemon also none of my personal friends play it and back in the day pokemon was so fun because I had people to trade with and thats all we talked about in school.

I had a launch 3DS, sold it for a launch Vita...but with the announcement of Pokemon I am considering buying a 3DS again (not going to sell my Vita though).
Animal Crossing: New Leaf and Pokemon Y would keep me more than busy, and I think those two games alone would justify getting a 3DS again. Which is a good thing, cause nothing else the 3DS has seems to interest me.
I'm getting an XL later, probably around the time X/Y releases. meanwhile my 3DS backlog has grown large and will continue to do so throughout the year.
Just to give you perspective, 80 hours into Nintendo Land (going for 100%), haven't even started Xenoblade / Pkmn Black 2, planning on tracking down Pikmin 1 & 2 for Wii before the third releases.
Just got rid of mine... Actually. Just nothing interesting. Got it for Kingdom Hearts and haven't anything on it since. Haven't seen anything interesting announced, so I gave up. Last Pokemon game I played was Diamond and Pearl and Gold and Silver were the last ones I really really liked. There comes a point when you just have to say no. I'm done with Pokemon. No disrespect to those who do like it but Pokemon didn't go in the direction I wanted too, or really it felt like it didn't go any where.
I'm getting one as soon as the wife lets me spend the money on it. She's made me cut back on my games spending. And with three kids and the fourth due in April, doubt it will be anytime soon. Trying to convince her that we need a Wii U come tax returns.

Already got one last year on November. Best Buy had a good deal I couldn't pass it up. I was waiting for a White XL but I'm happy with the blue. It looks way better than I thought it would.
I got one and played six games. I've decided I don't like it much, but if Bravely Default or Shin Megami Tensei IV ever came out here, I'd get back to it.

I got my 3DS in November last year as well at Best Buy. It was on sale for $149.99 with a free $30 dollar gift card with the purchase. I also got the blue XL from Best Buy this year when it was on sale for $159.99 a couple weeks ago which I think is a really good deal. I don't really like the blue, but it'll do. I wish I could have had purple or white.
