PC NVIDIA GPU has Gameworks which includes Shader Intrinsics access.

NVIDIA revealed their NDA'ed Shader Intrinsics access after AMD releases GCN's Shader Intrinsics access to the public during Doom 2016's release. NVIDIA even claims their optimization API access was available for many years before year 2016.

This is why Geforce 8 enables DX10.1 like features while don't have the official DX10.1 i.e. NVIDIA's kitbash DX10.X API fork.

Also I'm trying to learn the more technical side of things. Like I know what PC parts do what but not how they work relative to performance. Like I know how fast as processing hz is, but how does that relate to performance which is why I asked all those questions in my thread creation.

@ronvalencia: How does that effect real world performance? 10-15 fps isn't that much. Mutiplat Devs could easily lower unimportant visuals to achieve that without much notice. Ergo the difference between the sex and the ps5 will result in possible slightly lower visuals overall, ps5 could also just use an aa that has less processing expensive compared to the sex.

From what i have been reading, both seem to have advantages over the other, but i honestly think that the visible differences will be smaller than ever.

Games on current consoles still look insanely good (consoles that were already dated 7 years ago), that i think most devs will not even know where to use all the extra power.

From what we have available today, Star Citizen seems to be the only game/project that could really push 9th gen consoles. Everything else will probably about one extra pixel or frame.

@ronvalencia: That XsX GPU is probably much more closer to the Radeon VII than the Nvidia 2080 in terms of performance. XsX: 379.6 GTexel/s, Radeon VII: 420.0 GTexel/s. The difference will be just a few frames between the PS5 and XsX. But the optimization developers are doing on console can bring the performance on the XsX similar or beyond the RTX2080, just as optimization on the PS5 will bring the performance closer to the RTX2080. First party games on the PS5 will probably still have the best looking games of the generation.

@npiet1: It could be big, small, or practically nothing. Most of what I read puts in the Xbox SX at anyweher from 18-35% more powerful in the graphics department, but some say PS5 might be easier to develop for.

Well, it depends.

One is 30% more powerful. The other is 30% weaker.

It comes down to the developers. Most likely big AAA studios like Rock Star, CD Project Red, ect will probably take full advantage of that extra power. Some will probably just add what they can and push it out quickly like and you just see slightly better lighting and effects.
