Live has never gone down for me either, neither has PSN. But I have had lag problems with PSN that I haven't had with Live.

Yes its totally worth it, so many good games are out right now that you can nibble on until the even better games release later this year and next year.

I waited and found a launch 60gb with the PS2 chip in it, very very happy with it

as for the few people attacking the 360, last time i checked he was asking about getting a ps3, not how much live cost, and your opinion on if its worth it, it is BTW

Get the PS3, but if you don't just keep looking for a launch system, its awesome to have full backwards compatability
