As much as I love Nintendo, I simply won't be buying the console at that price, and if that does end up being the final price, I doubt this will have a successful launch. Just too many people think of Nintendo as a console for kiddys/old farts who don't play video game. My friends refuse to believe Wii-U will be any good, dismissing it simply because its Nintendo. So that leaves the devoted fans, what few open-minded gamers there are, and the casuals. I personally do not see the casuals buying such an expensive console. The open-minded gamers will do the wait-and-see tatics, and see what MS and Sony have to offer first and how the Wii-U does. So I don't really see it having a succcessful launch- and this is coming from a huge Nintendo fan. (Mind you, I also love the HD-twins)
