Alot of people are downloading it. Guess we got lucky with our timing. Heh, i'd imagine most of the installed XBL base is downloading it seeing as it's very hyped.

Well, if you really can't spare $50/year to play the 360's games online, then you clearly shouldn't.

Main reason though? To play the games online. Halo 3 being one of the biggest. I'm not going to give a list here because it doesn't seem like you want a reason. But, seriously, it's $50. It's not as if it's a whole hell of alot of money over a 1 year time limit.

I'll be happy with silver when I get mine, I only need 3-4 online games to keep me happy. Thats Joint Ops Typhoon Rising, Counter Strike Source and whatever the PS3 will offer. I'll be getting Gears Of War (which I've already tried, amazing) and Halo 3 for their single player.

your lucky your not on psn. you wouldn't even have a download to download. thats the problem today, everyone is focused on games. not the online service. psn sucks monkey ass, the worst online gaming service on earth for console and the only other one is xbl which makes 250 million a year off its users. but, yet no one is surprised at this fact. psn has one servers period and xbox jacking everyone for 250 million a year has no dedicated servers for any games, not even its own. the only smart one outta this bunch that doesn't even make a console is EA, the only one that can see that people in the future are going to demand dedicated servers for games. but, everyone is to brainwashed. they'll wait until every game has gone as far as it can with graphics and single game play or non dedicated game service. its the only way its going to go in the future if games want to grow. we are now just seeing the tip of the iceberg for the pain in-which people are going to have to go thru to even get a game. you should thank god you dont own a ps3 or you'd never get a game.

It's actually 1.35 to be more precise. I have been downloading it for about 1 hour 35 minutes and it's at 94%. Yes it is being very slow for a demo, but this is to be expected as it was just released.

It's just a game, go to bed and rethink your whole life if this really makes you mad. Pathetic..........
