What's the towel trick?Well, the towel trick here is that he expects uninformed posters/ignorant posters to believe that his 360 died when it actually didn't, most likely doesn't even own one. Thus, pulling a towel over your eyes trick..
Just a weak fanboy trick, the towel trick.

Thanks for the correction. I thought that sounded too high.Do you have an ethernet cable linked directly to Xbox Live servers??Sorry I kinda exaggerated it a bit, haha. It took the total of 13 minutes for it to download, but in the 7 minute mark it was already 80%, and I use the ethernet wired connection.

I'll be happy with silver when I get mine, I only need 3-4 online games to keep me happy. Thats Joint Ops Typhoon Rising, Counter Strike Source and whatever the PS3 will offer. I'll be getting Gears Of War (which I've already tried, amazing) and Halo 3 for their single player.
you cant play online with silver, anyways we get the demos same time as gold I had gold but I got silver now.

IT IS PATHETIC.
Grraaaah stilll waiting.

Or Aussie download speeds in general.. Sucks to be us.
how long is a tipical game demo download?Over XBL too longI started about 48 minutes ago and im 7% done - im on a 1500k connection.
At least when I dowload on my PC I can knock off a gigabyte in a few hours :?
Still we are on the 'internet goat track'.
I'll be voting to whichever party will finally upgrade the lines to south korean standards this election I tells ya :P
Man, the TC so got owned in this thread. So bad I can't believe it.
He's pretty lucky everyone's going so soft on him. Or maybe 'cuz Bioshock is so frickin' awesome. And for a brief moment in the SW, the fabric of time and space ripped, and everyone stopped thinking about ownage and started talking about games.

So? Banks have a lot of money, but not nearly enough to cover a run on the bank. You and every other person on Xbox Live tried downloading the BioShock demo at the same time. Of course, the servers were going to be slow.swamprat_basic
That usually occurs for free service but you're paying for the service, of course you will expect good quality download speed that your internet connection can provide and you would also expect dedicated servers :D

Yeah? I also pay the utility company for electricity, but that doesn't stop the power from going out every now and then.

We're comparing free versus subscription services. Do you have a free electricity service that you can get?
First you didn't tell us your internet speed. And you can download demos with silver membership. kthnxOGTiago
Well it's probably his 10g/bit connection on his RRoD Xbox 360

Are you incapable of understanding a simple analogy? It really isn't that hard to understand why the BioShock demo was slow to download, unless your're just trying to look for reasons to bash Xbox Live and Microsoft. Too many people tried to download the demo at the same time. What happens when too many people try to do anything over the internet? Network congestion. It is as simple as that.
It doesn't matter if it is free service or a pay service, nobody has enough servers to handle every single person in the world trying to do the same exact thing at the same exact time.
And I'm still at 60%, I say wtf? And I thought the Heavenly Sword download was slow, it took me 45 mins to download that demo.

Bioshocks has alot of people downloading it, its more popular than HS will ever be.

50 dollars a year. :|
TC, there is a bridge missing its troll somwehere. Go home. Honestly, the download took a long time because everyone was trying to download it at the same time. And 50 dollars a YEAR is one less dollar menu meal a month at McDonalds. You should thank MS for watching out for your health.musicalmac
That would be 12$. Unless I'm mistaken and there are fifty months in a year.
