and im really a noob at judging graphics, nor have I seen any full hd pics/videos of BF3 in action so I really cant say if it looks better than crysis or not

^This.

Yeah, the specs are quite demanding to say the least but that really doesn't physically show us anything.

The requirments are high? They haven't even released system requirments. And BF3 looks to be a definite graphical powerhouse.

I just think it has kind of a different graphical stile:P like I think the color palette of crysis is not as vivid as the one in bf3 which uses bright colors and some other effects that make it look a lot different than crysis

I'm pretty sure official req's were announced over 3 weeks ago. Unless some fool posted it as official and fooled me. And as good ole' George Bush once said "fool me once, shame on - shame on you. Fool me - you can't get fooled again"

Download the uncompressed 1080p demos and you'll see it's much better than Crysis , idk how people are not seeing this . as for the requirements , Dice games are usually well optimized , look at BC2 on the PC most mid range PCs can max it out i sometimes crank the AA from 8X to 32X and don't notice a huge hit in the performance . The devs confirmed BF3 demos ran on a single GTX 580 at 60+fps , and the game was still in alpha stage and not yet optimized so by the time it releases i'm sure any quad core CPU with a decent DX11 card will play the game at high-max settings .

Honestly, I'm not even sure why I decided to overclock. Every game I've put on this machine has ran at it's max setting with flawless performance unless they were was problem with the game itself.

Besides the scale and destruction, BF3 will have to outcompete Crysis 2 first, when talking technically.

Looks pretty damn good from the vids I've seen :?. Anyway, it's not the first time a game had ridiculously high reqs, and the game still looked average (mostly really shoddy ports of multiplats and such). Not saying anything bad about B3 or anything, just giving an example of how games that require demanding hardware doesn't necessarily mean the game is supposed to look superior.

I dont think it owns Crysis...I dont even think FB2's engine can take what the CryEngine is like putting on every LEAF on the Island. CryEngine is also more flexible, you can mod the thing to actually look better than any game out there. If CryEngine was by BF3(by not really a large margin) its mods will beat BF3's graphics

And CryEngine can't handle BF3's destruction(there's individual physics on the blocks of buildings alone), so they obviously do one thing better than other. Bringing up mods also means GTA IV beats most games in graphics and you know vanilla makes it far from the best. You do know if BF3 was modded it can easily compete against modded Crysis.
