Too bad NG 2 won't feature 5.1 or 7.1 uncompressed LPCM surround sound due to DVD's space limitations.
PS3 will ALWAYS have that advantage over 360.
NG 2 should be great stuff regardless.

Shows you know nothing about digital surriound or else you wouldn't have posted something as ridiculous as the above post.
There is a big difference between a format like Dolby Digital vs Dolby HD uncompressed PCM.

I said this before PS3's release, but no developer will actually put in that much development time to create bigger adventures than on 360 or even (in some cases) Wii. It takes enough time and energy to product HD visuals, real-time cutscenes and whatever else let alone create a long adventure with all of that incorporated.
Games like MGS4 is using blu-ray for its cutscenes, and HD-features, nothing else.
MGS games don't have pre rendered FMVs. The extra space is used for the voice, music and sound effects but the images are rendered using the engine, it's always been this way. To port the game to 360 they would need to decrease the audio quality, from dozens of GBs to only a few, causing a massive quality loss or simply strip it and using texts instead.
360's MGS4 will come with a buddled textbook that you'll read as the story goes to understand the game. :D
It isn't is it? I really hope it's not. Slogging through that over and over again to improve your standing on the Master Ninja Tournaments isn't going to be fun. Hopefully if it is 30 hours long, you can do each chapter individually and have the leaderboard for each chapter and one for overall.

Not manypeople can tell the difference in a video game, especially if they don't have the equipment. BTW most people DON'T have that equipment and asking in the Audio/Video forums isn't going to prove YOUR point.

Correct!
Go to any major electonics retailer and notice what's featured... HDTVs. You'll have to go into the back, to a less prominent area to find sound systems featured, and even then, there's a small selection.
HDTV is blatently better than SDTV and therefore easy to sell. 7.1 surround sound isn't that obviously different than 5.1 surround sound, especially when most of the movies out don't support it, and it's hard to demo that technology...
only the trained ear will notice anything significant. And even me being a musician, and a fan of live orchestrated music, dont' really care the difference since sound from speakers sucks in comparison...
