I don't think those games really "flopped" like you said. Flopp in SW is just tounge and cheek and it's a game, it doesn't mean those games are bad you know?

Anyway I use to think that Battlefield was going to better than COD, but then I got Bad Company 2 and the maps are too big and there isn't very many people to shoot at, so you just spend the whole game walking around. It's boring, vehicles are fun but people always steal them so you rarely get to use them.

COD is fun all the time and I'll get MW 3 .

Rage and Crysis 2 are awesome imo, but they were never meant to be direct competitors of MW3, since Crysis 2 came out over half a year ago and Rage is a SP-only FPS (if you don't count the car combat MP). The only direct competitor to MW3 is BF3, allthough we'll have to wait for MW3 reviews to determine the winner. From what i've seen of BF3 so far seems rather disappointing though.

Black Ops... lol. Let's just say, the only reason I still even own that game and play it occasionally is for the zombies. The multiplayer is nothing but people hiding in corners with Ghost and silenced weapons.

Even if you were in a good lobby where people would actually move, it's still boring and frustrating thanks to copious amounts of lag and hit detection issues, plus perks like Second Chance which are totally broken. (e.g. Invincible while falling, being able to use your primary weapon in Second Chance)

I actually liked WAW. It was darker and I liked the feel of that game. MW2 was utter crap and BOPs was thrown on the shelf after 1 hour.

Maybe it will be the best of the best for you, but not for me. Labeling something the 'best' is an opinion that can never be validated. I prefer BF3 no matter how 'good' you think MW3 is. Gaming at the end of the day is a preference. I don't care if MW3 gets a 10/10 everywhere, I still won't be getting it until the price drops (a lot) because it's a Call of Duty game and I don't want it. Plain and simple.

All these debates about which game is the best get so tiring; who really cares? There are a ton of BF fanboys that won't jump ship when MW3 comes out, and there are MW3 fanboys who won't try BF until MW releases. Neither will 'flop'...

So wait until the game comes out, go buy it and have fun playing it. Not everybody will be joining you though because COD isn't all that great to everybody.

In the end reviewers constally let cod slide while other games get put down for same problems. MW2 was solid proof of that.

I can't think of any situation in online gaming that screws you over as completely as being picked to be the host in a CoD game, which unfortunately happens to me all the time.
