Personality.
have the lemmings stooped so low they are saying Halo 3 is better than crysis on.....personality?
There's nothing inspiring about its setting or its characters. Its in a universe that's as plain and uninteresting as my backyard and is the same reason why I think Farcry wasn't so great. The Aliens and the nano-suit are great but where's the imagination put into this games universe.
You don't hear people talking about Jack Carver from Farcry when they do those "XXXX vs. XXXX" threads, and you never see threads comparing Nomad to the likes of Samus, Duke Nukem or Gordon Freeman. There won't be a particular multiplayer setting or level in the game that people will continue to talk about for years down the road like Ravenholm or Valhalla. What type of antagonist will people be able to imitate for saying, doing or creating a memorable moment in this game other than some profanity translated in Korean.
The only thing that I can assure you that people will remember Crysis for is its realism and that's a drag because not everyone can experience that like the above things I listed.
wait what personality?
Master Chief is the most generic character in exsistance.....he might as well be mute like Gordon Freeman if all he says are completly corny and stupid one line comments...
That's what I'm wondering. If there's one word not to use when describing Halo, it's "personality". The voice actor for Master Chief said Bungie told him to go with a Clint Eastwood-type voice. That's some serious personality right there. Halo is a cold series with cold characters and some warm music. There's no personality there. You want personality, you look at Portal.
