I think it was made by a European studio (Europeans are also pretty crazy about soccer/football, so it makes sense). Consider it karma coming back to hit you guys for releasing so many games here in PAL/AU late then charging us more for the privilege :P

Well, I don't know whether it was developed there first, but given the fact that there's already English in Euro version, it's not like it should take much time at all to bring it out over here. All you would have to do is strip away the other languages (and not even that if you didn't want to- it's not like more languages is a problem).

The pricing, however, is purely your fault. You've pretty much taxed yourself so much that games have to cost more.

The 360 got Call of Juarez, The Darkness, Dirt, and Overlord last month. Granted not AA games but they are decent games that have some kind of value to take up a decent amount of time. Last month on the Wii, you get an AAA 3 year GC port, a bunch of minigames and VC games. Certainly, there are more decent titles happening on the 360 than your post clearly suggests.

Wii only has minigames to take up your little amount of time. The philosophy behind the Wiimote is for gimmick gameplay. It can only be done through minigames because no traditional, epic game has use for the Wiimote. All of them are either tacky controls or better using the traditional controls.

No, I won't be getting it when the price drops.

Mainly because I'm getting one in September, when everything "good" is coming out. :) And I haven't bashed the PS3 in months, not like you've bashed the Wii.

And since when did A-rated games count as "decent games" in SW? If that's the case, then the Wii has had a lot more than just one game per month, with Mercury Meltdown, Sims 2, Big Brain Academy, and MK Armageddon in the last month alone.

The Wii hasn't exactly had the most critically acclaimed releases, but for a launch lineup it hasn't been bad. No one but the most hardcore of hardcores buys and plays more than a handful of games in such a short period of time, anyway.
