SO IT'S OFFICIAL (The 360 Question)

The graphical marvel that is Gears of War has been surpassed.

Cows can finally quit claimingthe 360 can't do better graphics thanGears and now start worrying about a PS3 game surpassing it. Then maybe people wont think the PS3 is a graphically inferior machine.

Personally, I wait until have have actually played the game (or the demo) to make the judgment call. But the initial fact still remains - gears is old news (graphically)

That's exactly right. The cows always talk about how PS3 graphics will surpass X360 graphics, because as time passes, devs will get better with the PS3 hardware. Which is true enough but they always speak as if, in all that time graphical development on X360 will just come to a standstill. Anybody with common sense (ie ano one not a blind fanboy) would see the fallacy of that.

So I expect the visuals to always be more or less on par between these 2 systems over the long run, each one getting the chance to step one up over the other a little bit, in leap frogging advancements.

It was mostly complete around the same time X360 launched, it released a year later because of delays with blu ray production. But it's CPU and GPU are relatively speaking the same age as X360's, and again not newer and a year more advanced.

Which is very very sad as Cows had to wait 1 year for a nextgen system that they *should* of could of had 1 year earlier. You can thank Sony's lust for getting a media format for that.

Huh? When did M$ ever claim the 360 was future proof. I like that they keep improving it...instead of waiting for tech to catch up. This way we aren't stuck with a 1 year old GPU and CPU like the PS3 was.

Thank you Sony, I now have an excellent Blu Ray player with HDMI 1.3.
