One day on steam and it's already in the top 3.

Screw it, I'll buy it now as well. We need to support these devs who recognize the PC needs love ... even if F3 is a shoddy casualite game.
I'll wait until it goes on sale. Mostly because I have many games to complete first and
No, the main reason really is because The Witcher 2 comes out the same day. All gamers will bow down to recognize its greatness (And GOTY 2011.)
I guess PC gamers aren't as good of a judge of game quality as they were claiming to be. Bu.. Bu.. but the The Witcher 2 will be the best game ever....Karnage108
?
Nice try, but definitely double-face-palm fail.
I just hope they improve on the combat in W2. If they can do that the game will be an instant AAA title, still I'm much more hyped for ME3.I'll wait until it goes on sale. Mostly because I have many games to complete first and

Im pretty sure the witcher 2 will sell more, I see no reason why the witcher 2 would be in the top spots in steam when d2d offers it for 33$! I try to get every game on steam, but 33$ for the witcher 2 is too good to pass up

I'm not arguing that F3 will sell better than TW2. But when I said F3 would do well on PC (and why shouldn't it? Rpgs/Action-adventure tend to do well on Steam and PC in general), they laughed at me.This is the thread I'm referring to: http://www.gamespot.com/forums/topic/28571634/microsoft-is-now-actually-helping-pc-gaming.?page=1
So it sold around 100 copies? Nah I'm just kidding, but day one sales on steam I've noticed to be inflated than what they actually are. I remember a few years back when mirrors edge was first released it was in the top sellers list in the EU. Steam has a feature where you could check how many people were online playing it. There was 17 people playing it.One day on steam and it's already in the top 3.

Is this the first game on Steam from MGS? Odd that would bring Fable 3 to their DD competition.Stevo_the_gamerBest of both worlds really. EA does it as well. Having it available everywhere is more profitable in the long run than having it only on your site.
That is the most silly reasoning I have ever heard.[QUOTE="haberman13"]

You must ignore everything MS says about PC gaming then.

Steam is pretty much the defacto DD platform on the PC, no matter how they try and push the absolutely terrible GFWL. The sad thing is that you now have 2 clients on your PC that you have to log into. It's goddamn ridiculous.

That has nothing to do with spending money on something you consider shoddy. That bad? I've played the first two, wasn't a fan of the changes the whole emotes thing felt really stupid imo. And the one button gameplay was BORING. Is the combat in 3 at least any better? That game is such a huge step in the wrong direction, doing only a handful of things right.

The games that I have that use it, I don't even notice it. Only thing I don't like about DD is that steam auto patches everything often times over writing configs/mods I had in place.[QUOTE="i5750at4Ghz"][QUOTE="Stevo_the_gamer"]Is this the first game on Steam from MGS? The witcher 2 isn't top 20 on either site. A couple of points that need to be considered when comparing The Witcher 2's placment in the top 20 in comparison to Fable III 1) Fable just came out for pre-order, so anyone who is going to pre-order the game is doing it now, while the Witcher 2 has been out for pre-order for a very long time now and the only people who have not pre-ordered it already are those who are going to wait to buy it. 2) Witcher 2 is being sold from almost all the DD sites out there while Fable III is only being sold from GFWL and Steam and for some reason it is cheaper on Steam (go figure) 3) Fable III has no real competition right now, seeing as how the only other big game that has been recently released or put on pre-order is Portal 2. When you consider all this factors it is not really all that surprising that Fable III is in the top 10 right now. It means very little without any numbers released, especially when you consider that other games like Shogun 2 and Crysis 2, games that were released a while back on multiple DD services, are still in the top 10.You wouldn't really be missing out on much. I personally (though many others disagree) preferred Fable 3 to Fable 2, but there's no real continuing story across the series. Or atleast they haven't really connected the stories yet. When they release Fable 2 on PC, then I will take an interest in buying Fable 3.

OMG!! Eff everything else if they bring forza to PC it's game over thats all I'll be playing for months. Playing in on the 360 without a wheel is a major pain. I have a logitech driving force gt that works on the ps3 and pc, but not the 360.I think the reason people are buying Fable III is to convince Microsoft to bring more games to PC (like Alan Wake and Forza 4) than the game itself. :P

[QUOTE="krunkfu2"]That bad? I've played the first two, wasn't a fan of the changes the whole emotes thing felt really stupid imo. And the one button gameplay was BORING. Is the combat in 3 at least any better? Yea man. I was one of the people who liked Fable II, I never got to play Lost Chapters. II was kind of average it did some things right, but then also made some backsteps. Fable III is just bad. The way you have to interact with other people is pretty bad, especially they way they handled the new emote system and only being able to interact with an individual person. The combat is really boring now a lot of the magic spells have been taken out there are around 5-7 spells now with some old Fable II spells being converted to potions. It's still the same melee combat with some of the options like chained attacks from Fable II completely gone; it's basically mash X and hold X now. The combat us basically the same from the second game There was probably 2-3 new enemies in the game over Fable II. The new pause menu layout only makes a putting on new weapons and clothing easier, but accessing options and configurations is a pain. So much content on 360 was launch DLC it was ridiculous, for instance the black dye was DLC. I can't dye clothes black because i have to buy DLC? The game also had some game braking glitches at least at launch and around a month after launch. There was a quest that would warp you to an area you couldn't leave until the quest completion, but at the last area the event wouldn't trigger and you'd be stuck and have to create a new character. I believe that glitch was patched though, but you can still get stuck under the game ground/floor/world etc. in various parts of the world and you need a co-op buddy top help you get out. Even if Lionhead put all the DLC into the PC version, and added more areas I still probably wouldn't buy it. The core experience just is not that fun. If you disliked Fable II I can guarantee that you will not like Fable III at all. I'm actually selling the game back to amazon while it's still worth some cash; I'm glad I got it for just $40 and am selling it back for around $28.That game is such a huge step in the wrong direction, doing only a handful of things right.

No. It's fanboys who will always have something negative to say about a platform that isn't their own. Like I said, it's SW.
freelancer would be a good addition to steam for like £5. :) there's potential for them to make lots on steam, even from old games.
I'm not a frequenter of System wars, but I do browse it because it's hilarious at how hypocrite and selfish gamers can be. I couldn't believe it when I first landed in this forum. People fighting over a system? Unbelivable.[QUOTE="Mystic-G"]

Anyway. In my little time here, all I've been seeing from PC gamers is "We don't want console games, they are trash" But all of the sudden a console game arrives and now they are storming to buy it? It shows that console, pc, handheld gamers are all hypocrites. Sad.
Accept the hypoocrisy, its a pre-req for SW.
Do it for the lol.

The data doesn't lie though. Gamers are gamers regardless of platform.
There are differences, which is why some developers simply do not bother going to consoles. I mean flight simulators (not the arcadey type but the actual simulator) on top of not being able to go on consoles, even if they could they wouldn't make too much $$$ because it wouldn't be accessible. I agree with one thing though, PC gamers like to say they won't stand for certain things then go out and buy games like MW2 and BO in droves! Along with the DLC to.
