So new rumors have stated that the next Xbox has full BC

Cows have pretty much been setting themselves up for ownage. They have been saying for months the 720 was going to require online, have no backwards compatibility, not be powerful, no games etc. Cows make themselves look stupid, we really don't have to do anything.Miketheman83

BC didn't matter this past gen, why would it matter now? Are you really going to buy a console just because you can play games on it you could play on a console you already own? No logic there. 

People generally buy consoles for the new content on them, not for the ability to play their old games. Sure it's nice, but if this past gen as any indication BC is not a major factor in the buying decisions of the majority of people. I know I couldn't care less about BC.

i have 58 games on disc, 58, please let the 720 have BC, that way all i have to do is take my 360 media videogame hub now in my livingroom, and update it with the godbox 720

Awwwww I can think of a few games to go back to, but most wont care as Halo and Gears Of War games are not that memorable. On a plus side people can sell there Xbox 360 to buy a Next Xbox and keep there 360 games.

It would be a plus for Next Xbox for sure.

Backwards compatibility wold have been better for the 720 if the 360 had any good games released in the last 3 years besides Halo and Gears. Backwards compatibility to play games I haven't touched in 4 years is kinda meh, nice but not essential. I'd sooner just have free basic online as a trade off instead, besides the $99 extra device rumour seems to be more believable this is M$ we're talking about here..Shielder7

I feel the same way with the PS3. When I get the PS4 I might on occasion want to play a PS or PS2 game, but I do not think I will want to play many PS3 games again. Besides the possibility of Oblivion or games similar to that. If that is the case however, it will not matter seeing as though my game room already looks like a game room anyways... lol

Skyrim was the worst console Elser Scrolls yet. Why? Well, because it sucked. Morrowind and Oblivion are in among my favorite games of all time, and Skyrim should not even be talked about in the same sentence as them... lol :P

If I want to shout a dragon from the sky while frying somebody with ass lighting I can play ANY NUMBER of games. Skyrim took that "everyman" feel from the Elder Scrolls and gave it a very generic feeling. If you do not agree, that is fine, but I may not even buy another ES if it sounds like another Skyrim.

Im sure people want a console to play new games over old.

The Xbox would be more likely though to have BC, the PS3 had a complicated CPU which would be hard to emulate.

I disagree with the BC thing because you can still have your PS2. In addition, not as many people as you think are psyched about having a PS3 to play PS2 games.

$600 brick is a huge misconception. The sku released in the beginning was groundbreaking! MS took YEARS to match what was featured from day one by SONY (built in wifi, HDMI support, web browser). And they still didn't have blu ray.

The breach in cyrbersecurity (whether if people lost a lot of money or not) was definitely the low point.
