Halo 3 was a limited public Beta, and buying Crackdown was only one way to enter. You could also sign up on Halo3.com after the "Starry Night" commercial, and the first 13,333 players to register after playing 3 hours of Halo 2 on Xbox Live.

Furthermore, you were paying the cost of the game, not the Beta, unlike GT:5 Prologue. Not the best comparison :?

You are correct that it was offered via Crackdown, which cost money for the game. Still, there were alternate methods, though having to play Halo 2 and then register was the more difficult of the 3.

There was hype for Horizon? I mean, it's not really much hype if y'all keep playing it safe with dem AAE if that was the case. Good game though, had a better time with it than Flopza 4 by far.

This gen sucks in terms of racing games though. Criterion and Bizarre (RIP) were the only ones that did something. Props to Turn 10 for capitalizing on PD's mismanagement though.

Cows ran rampant around here prior to Fable The Journey, Forza Horizon and Dance Central 3 being reviewed, putting the 360 ahead of the PS3 in terms of exclusives for this year. The only reason they've "disappeared" and 360 fans have become more rampant is because the whole "the 360 has no games" nonsense has come back to bite Cows squarely in the ass.
