Why do gamespot use other people's reviews like IGN or etc. to rate a game.

Also. what about player reviews? Don't they matter?

Gamespot reviews only matter if your determining if the game is a flop or not. other then that it doesnt really matter. Personally i will check every site, and based off of wat i saw decide if i will buy it or not, i never relly on 1 review

I dont understand what you're trying to say, but in terms of determining flop or not, GS reviews count. BUt deteremining a good game is subjective. Whether you use any review or personal experience.

As for offical scores the only evidence allowed to confirm flop/scoreing/general bragging rights are GS scores. When speaking in general about diffrent scores from other sites you can use them to argue a point but realize it's like hersay and can't be used to say it's a better score and thusly deserves to be better then the GS score. In a nutshell, GS scores are passed down from the gods themselves inscribed on gameboxes used to ward off evil spirits or to throw in as cannon fodder.

only on this forum.

in real life, you can like whatever the hell you feel like. but for the purposes of streamlining this forum, only gamespot scores count.

only in terms of the ridiculous "flop" trend that has been going on.

When buying a game is at interest, all reviews count.

So what if gamespot is totally off like with Perfect Dark Zero and Warioware and perhaps even Twilight Princess? Bioshock was a bit off as well. Same goes to Metroid Prime 3. Gamerankings is the best way to go, despite to which site these forums belong to. We are gamers after all.

But when posting in SW forums it has alreayd been decided that GS scores only matter when assigning ratings to games.

Yes, this is true; however it wasn't Gamespot idea to do this. It was a bunch of fanboys who think it's logically to use 1 review source for a game. It's like getting a review from one of your friends for every movie you intend to see...

You should always check metacritic and gamesrankings. But I have to say that GS reviews have vastly improved over the last four or five years.

Gamespot decides if it's AAA, AA, A or any other score.

But other than that, other reviews can be used (most people do).
