PC games rarely have hype and face the harshest reviewers on the planet. It's only natural that gamerankings will have a negative effect on pc games in general, hell I would say pc gamers themselves are more harsh than reviewers.
PC games have to meet up to a higher standard of quality. Most console gamers will enjoy anything as long as it has a huge amount of hype and some sort of marketing angle.
People are going to say higher standards to try and justify this. I guess we can say this about any platform that has a low amount of AAAe games.Zero5000X
It's not that other reviewers are really tough on PC games, it's that Gamespot is really lenient on PC games. I mean Gamespot started as a PC exclusive site, it's where their roots are.

you cant set the rules to the way things are counted if we are going to be like that then i can just say that Consoles dont count and the war is over instantly the fact of the matter is that they DO count and you saying they dont dosent change that fact
Whether there are a written set of rules or not, you do not set them regardless. FACT: PC expansion packs on average have more content than your average console game. Heck, many expansion packs are standalone and don't even require the original game. There are no reasons not to include expansion packs.

Actually, the rule that "We only use gamespot scores" has been around for quite some time. It is an unspoken rule of system wars. Not to mention Nerd Man's, now unstickied, official score post that is part of the information thread lists expansion packs as an accepted norm.

System Wars had a vote a while back proclaiming anarchy i.e. any review source can be used.

Games like Crysis prove that graphics don't make up for rather dull and reused gameplay, however this year it seems like its going to be one amazing year for the PC gamers with games like sc2, dawn of war, diablo 3, empire, and plenty of others looming around! So hopefully it can turn this drought into an oasis.
Umm...both Company of Heroes and GTR2 were out less than 30 months ago. So bassicaly after all the whining and setting up your own rules (bu..bu...GR...bu..bu...expansion packs don't count) your beloved 360 has one moreAAAE than PC in this timeframe...wait... since add-ons don't count then neither do XBLA...upps...seems like 360 the same ammount of AAAE as PC in your timeframe :D
