So PS3 has installations, have people forgotten about RROD?

RROD is magical because no matter what issue you are ticked off about with the PS3 you can always just bring up teh RROD and it's like whatever way Sony dropped the ball does not exist.

Rumble a $55 option??? HA! RROD!

Not HD out of the box??? HA! RROD!

Last place game lineup??? HA! RROD!

Traditional Sony devs falling all over themselves to dev for MS??? HA! RROD!

Release cancellations??? HA! RROD!

Hyped titles failing at retail and quality??? HA! RROD!

Inability to make voice chat work in games??? HA! RROD!

Trophy support??? HA! RROD!

Fan, dev and media criticism??? HA! RROD!

Overpromising and underdelivering? HA! RROD!

Multiplat dissapointment??? HA! RROD!

Firing Harrison after he complained he was "pissed off" about SOE "dropping the ball"??? HA! RROD!

Inability to implement firmware updates??? HA! RROD!

My 360 doesnt have an HDMI port anyway. It was originally bought in October 2006 but since I've received a refurb from November 2005. Yes, a nasty 2005 refurb, lol.

Basically old cases with new parts they will release as refubs after Jasper comes out.(Jasper parts in an old box).

You are sooooooo Wrong , I have had 2 RRODS and both times it took me 20 minuts to go to the store ,give them my broken 360 and get a brand new one. Thats the way its done in europe I dont know if you have to wait 2 weeks in Usa, not sure.

Not really. They can always mention how Live's fee is ridiculous. The microtransactions... the ridiculously high priced accessories... etc.

What's the lemming argument against the PS3? Usually "no games", outdated. Online is terrible, outdated. High price, outdated.

Dont get me wrong, both sides nit pic like crazy. But anyone who thinks that the RROD is the only bad quality about the 360 is fooling themselves.

I'm simply saying the argument is there. The microtransactions are worse on the 360 anyway. For theme and picture packs?

And I work, and still believe the fee is ridiculous. I bought Gears of War almost two years ago and I cant play it online right now. And I'm currently hooking my 360 up to my laptop for it's internet connection because I'm certainly not going to spend $100 on a WiFi adapter when my PS3, PSP, DS and Wii came standard with it.

I'm simply saying, the RROD isnt the only negative gripe about the 360.

lol Man I own a 360 and these are my legitiment gripes. Not having WiFi isnt as big of a "gripe" as much as me having to shell out $100 bucks to get one. Like I said, ridiculous priced accessories. I'm not getting desperate. I think it's you the one getting desperate. I made no connection between a WiFi adapter and Live. I made two seperate arguments. The cost of Live... which I stated. And ridiculous priced accessories... which I stated.

But whatever, if you want to dodge an argument by saying everyone knocks the 360 only for RROD then go ahead and ask me if I'm making this up as I go along.

To an extent, people are starting to forget about the RROD because the RROD issue has been addressed and taken care of. The only people who tend to bring it up anymore are Sony fanboys.

You are kidding right? Guess thats why my 2nd 360 is on its way back from Texas. IM sure from all the posts I have read that my replacement will fail within the week. If not, im sure within the month. Please NEVER downplay the RROD or any thing concerning the 360. Its junk now and has been since it came out. Its just fact.

I've had a 360 for well over a year now and never had RROD. In fact out of all my friends I know that own a 360, 2 have had RROD. Its like 5% of people I know.

Regardless, you can't compare the problems. Both consoles have plus and negative points. What I hate most is how Sony has screwed over the UK by discontinuing the 60Gig model, meaning I now have to buy a PS2 so that I can play Yakuza 2... I'm also not keen on PSN after being so used to Live... Still this are minor arguments and my own personal opinion. At the end of the day all that matters is, they are BOTH sooo mcuh better than the Wii...

I'm pretty sure it's worldwide since the US doesn't have the 60 Gig SKU.

I thought US had an 80GB? Or is that Japanese NTSC?? Still, backwards compatability is only a small argument since PS2's cost like £40 now.

If my PS3 HDD fills up will Sony buy me a bigger one? Or will Sony just keep putting restriction of reviewer not to talk about install size of games?

My 360 has't RROD, and if it does MS will fix it for free. Plus The 16% failure rate was for 360s from 05 and 06. It dropped to 10% last years when MS had 3 smaller fans put in instead of 2 big ones and a smaller CPU die and the heatsinks were improved. With the new motherboards they are making the failure rate should drop to 4% and lower

This is lightweight... Rarely have I seen an Xbox 360 owner use the Installation ammo in an argument against PS3.

this is so true..cows have been using RROD to dismiss any problems sony has had this gen.

I own all 3 current gen consoles and I'm sorry, but NOTHING imo compares to RROD in terms of shortcomings and failures this gen.

You can bash the PS3 as much as you want, but nothing on it has come close to the worry I feel now and the frustration I will feel if my 360 RROD's.

And comparing installations as being equal to RROD is absolutely laughable. Whilst it still continues the 360 has a darker cloud over its head than either the wii or PS3 as far as shortcomings go in my opinion.

I don't get the big complaint over installations anyway, PC gamers have to put up with it and I really don't see how a few minutes of patience is so worth of bashing a console over.

And for what it's worth, in terms of direct comparison I've played through both Oblivion and DMC4 on PS3 and 360 and I don't care what anybody says the PS3 does have faster load times on both, particularly Oblivion. With it being such an enormous game I would happily have sat through an hour long installation, it still probably would have equated out to less in total load times, when I played oblivion on the 360 the load times were sooo much longer!
