How entitled can some of you get? My goodness...

@xantufrog: I'm aware of that but $3 is pocket change it won't even cover the taxes depending on the game and it's not often a the good games go on sale just the obscure ones unless the publisher is having a sale. Could easily have made it $5 or more off that's more helpful. I think you guys cut Nintendo too much slack. I love them but they deserve some criticism
So? This deal is 1) better than the competition. 2) not your god given right. They don't have to give you a coupon at all. You're complaining about the fact that it won't cover tax... like it's supposed to or something? Is that the standard? Your state and federal taxes are NOT Nintendo's problem. If they didn't give you this coupon, you would pay full tax. What then?
Whatever, it's not my problem, but you sound pretty damn entitled here, especially since you're picking on one of the better programs amongst the 3...
By all means, advocate for better freebies, but make no mistake: this 5% discount is not owed you. They don't have to give you squat. Your entire argument that it isn't free is bs... what's the alternative? They give you 5% WITHOUT you making any purchases? That's not a rewards program my friend. That's called "Nintendo lowers cost of all games by 5%".
I'm going to confirm this when I get home if I can. But for anyone who has more than 634 coins can you confirm if there's really a limit on howuch of a discount that can be applied through my Nintendo.
@Celsius765: I don't think you get his point.
Normal scenario: you buy game=you get game=you happy
Nintendo scenario: you buy game=you get game and coupon=Celsius unhappy
Glad someone gets my point :)
@xantufrog: And you sound like a blind defender who's not ok with me criticizing what Nintendo does. I want you to know it's ok to criticize them it won't hurt at all. And no I'm not entitled to this program but I've seen better is all. The only thing better is its not specific for ceritain games if you decide to use it....I think I'm not sure it applies to third party games and if it's all games

no limit. if you have enough coins you can buy any game you want.
you are able to choose exactly how many of your coins you want to use on each purchase.

lol, hardly. I have criticized many aspects of Nintendo and the Switch, and even voiced one of my major concerns in this thread. I'm saying your arguments don't fit together coherently. That's all on you - it's not me being a "blind defender".
I don't think your argument is logical or makes sense and I've explained why. I'm sorry
@KBFloYd: odd someone on Twitter was saying there was a limit of 10% off which they said amounts to $6
How entitled can some of you get? My goodness...
This.
Yeah, seeing the whole argument just confuses me. I thought that the Switch had a service that you pay money for, and they STILL don't give you a good discount (like paying for Xbox Live or PS Plus without the discounts), but this a GREAT scenario.

no.
i can buy a whole neo geo 7.99$ game if i want.
also, i can use all of my 12$ on any 15, 20 or 60$ game.

i havnt used my coins yet. but the option is there. unless when i actually press purchase something pops up that tells me only 10% is avialble.
They charge like £6 for Super Mario that doesn't even play in wide screen. What do you expect?
you can adjust the screen in the settings.
it looks a tiny bit stretched but you can make it fill your screen.
They're selling a 35 year old port with no effort done to it. And i don't know how they turned a 31KB game into 92mb, probably including the emulator they stole to run it.

i just explained the effort.
there are also filters to make it look oldschool or fake AA.
there are also leaderboards i think...

also this isnt nintendo. it is a company called hamster
these are arcade ports.
the virtual console might be better.

Nintendo runs the fattest margins in the industry, and they have the worst customer loyalty programs, by far.
They're not a consumer-friendly company. Again, I say this as a sheep. Sony and MS look after their customers much better.
