+ first off, wii motion controls are out, instead, gyroscope like controls, much like PSP NGP. (hopefully) God I hope not. The pointer is one of the biggest advancements in gaming in a long time. Gyro and waggle are near useless compared to a simpe pointer.
+ Speakers on the control, like the wiimote. yep
+ Touch screen, but i doubt it will be HD and 6''. yep
+The touch screen will be used as a secondary screen to show maybe health bars, ammo, maps (acting like a gps), backpack, and an easy way to change weapons for link or samus. yep plus a whole lot more
+ the grip bars will be in the shape of the N64 controller, but instead of 3, there will be 2, much like the wii ****c controller pro. In terms of the console itself, this is what i'd like to see/imagining. could be.
+Dropped wii title, instead, a bring back of the "nintendo entertainment system" abreviaton "NES" with an added word, like "NES-PRO" why would they drop the name that put them back on the map? That would be like releasing a two screen handhled without the DS name.
+Significantly More Powerfull than the current 360 and PS3, and probably at par with the rest of the unreleased 8-gen consoles, if not slightly less. (graphics and processing). More powerful than current gen, but weaker than next gen
+ New nintendo menu will be called "Nintendo Cafe" keeping the channels idea, but revamping it. (not in the same ****as 3DS or Wii, but keeping the idea) channels are prolly staying, the cafe name is just a project name. The name won't survive E3.
BTW it's not a rumor it is actually in development...ULTIMATEZWARRIO
Its a rumor until Nintendo says otherwise.
Btw, who apparently "confirmed" it was in developement?
What I'd like to see:
I'll keep dreaming until my dreams are crushed at E3.
I do Agree with the Pointer, but waving your arms around while trying to play zelda just didn't do it for me.D4W1L4H
Then stop. It takes the most minor flick to use your swrod and there's no reason to ever raise your arm off you lap/rest for aiming.
The difference is when you play a game like skyward sword or red steel 2. That requires physical motion. But games like red steel 2 were a total blast and I want more like them because they are unique, new and fun. I really want an online multi-player deathmatch with 1:1 swordplay.

True, True.... But still, based on the response from most self proclaimed "hardcore" gamers, (which i dont think they are) and nintendo suposedly aiming to appeal to a new audience (?) they are most likely to scrap the motion idea and come out with a revamped idea. But probably the 14 yr old sony and microsoft 'fanboys' will have a biased view of nintendo as being only for "casual gamers." Afterall, the new pointer and motion idea opened the door to a new world of gaming. Gamers were bored of the current "plain control system" of gaming, but microsoft and sony just kept milking the same cow, while nintendo bought a new cow. This opened the door to new genres, like sword motion controls, cooking controls, etc. Then you saw Microsoft and Sony coming out with there versions of motion controls. I'm not hating on Microsoft and Sony, infact, i own both PS3 and XBOX, along with my wii. But i must say that it's the 'fanboys' which do annoy me. Why do sony and microsoft fanboys have to hate on eachother, as well as Nintendo fans? By the way, who's to say Nintendo wont come out with motion controls, alongside what the rumors are saying. I really do have full hope in Nintendo getting this one right again.i wish this was the case but i doubt it will happenWhat I'd like to see:
- Get rid of motion controls & every other gimmick. Traditional controller & decent console.
- Get rid of the Wii title.
- More of those great first party games (with the occasional cool jRPG).
- ???
- Profit
I'll keep dreaming until my dreams are crushed at E3.

I think it's too soon to tell.
Wii was a solid console, it deviated from the normal path, was marketed different and it was certainly not for me so i never took an interest to it. This new console seems to be more powerful which is good but the lineup will prolly still be the same, tons of mario games some kirbys and DK's and some fitness games.
Not to say the Wii was totally off target for me, it did have a few RPGS which i'd love to play and i never played a zelda game so i'd like to try that too but i wonder if it's game catalog would fit in better than my ps3 one.
At this time i'm waiting for all consoles to be revealed, if we do get details at e3 then i'm pretty sure some will be revealed next year for MS and Sony and each console's tech and promises are what will drive me to them first since we can't really predict the lifetime game library of each console.
Honestly at this point i'm not trusting nintendo's intent yet, with the 3ds relying on a gimmick to sell and having the wii being a casual gaming system i don't really know what they want with this new one... So until i know more i don't really think this wii2 will be the right fit for me, let's wait and see...
Miyamoto said that it's not a matter of "Are they making a new console?" but of a "When they will announce it".
As much as i want them to be hardcore, they will have a tough time trying to convince current PS3/360 owners. These fanboys have a jaded view of Nintendo and it wont matter how powerful their console is or if they have the best exclusives, PS3/360 fanboys wont budge even if they like the console. They will try to convince themselves that the Wii successor is crap no matter what. Crystal-Rush
I think you are not gaming long enough - this is not how fanboys work. As soon as Ninty shows superior gaming rig, fanboys will throw away their beloved PS3s and 360s and they will run to the store waving their wallets.
