Wrong. They do. Not in graphics but in gameplay. And if that's not true, explain Metroid getting a 6, because that was one of the best games back in the day.

What I don't understand about GS is that they rate games on quality compared to every great game ever made instead of every great game on the console the game is on. In this sense both MP3 and Super Metroid should have got better scores. I really don't care because I don't take GS seriously.Boba_Fett_3710

If I understood you correctly, you're misinformed. Gamespot, along with just about every other gaming site, rate games relative to the other games on the respective console, not across platform. It compares across platforms if the games are direct ports or if two consoles are very close in tech specs. At least that's what I think.

No they don't. For instance, Gamespot will never ever -- in a million years -- compare the gameplay of Forza 2 to a racing game on the Super Nintendo. Do you know why?

Just a hobby of mine. All the coding I do is for work, so it's nice to use code for something with no deadline but my own satisfaction.

Work in progress, b/c it's all C# (savesome javascript and css)but driven by metadata files (xml)increasing reuse and versatility. I expect to have it up and about 10-15 reviews by Feb.

They gave super metroid a 8.5 and paper mario a 9? I think gamespot has lost touch with reality. I learned to never trust their scores anyways after I got screwed into buying perfect dark zero based on their 9.0 score.
