Yes this is a daily occurrence. It happened to me 5 times today!!! Wait, it just happened again. Oh the humanity.

The ED-209 in Robocop gave a warning before it was supposed to shut down, and look what happened to that poor, young business guy.

well this is a step in the right direction, it's alot better than getting rrod.

I still don't like the idea of paying for online and the lack of first party.

This just sounds like a thread for people to find something to complain about for the new Xbox 360s. Stand it up right so the fancan vent out the heat and secondly keep it in a fairl open area so the heat can escape and not come back to suffocate the system. I have a PS3 and I noticed a huge difference in how the system performed once I placed in a fairly enclosed tv cabinet. It got alot hotter and the fan was working extra hard. I placed it back on my small tv stand where the PS3 has lots of air ventilation and voila....less heat and noise. Maybe you should keep your Xbox out of dusty carpeted areas too.

idk, I'd guess it was a minor problem anyways.

I've tried looking for common problems among the Original Xbox myself, I could never turn anything up.

we really need a sticky for 360 slim...we are getting too many of these topics.

That would be fine if it created a temporary auto-save just before turning off, so you could pick back up exactly where you left off.

There is a chance I will win the LOTERY but I dont see that happening. AND at least they sent out FREE replacement plugs..I got one.

I guess you just have to hope for the best.

Where's that one single only guy that had this problem so far at. I wanted to ask him did his console starting blinking the red dot but he was still able to play? And if after seeing the on screen message, did it shut down the console automatically?

So The 360 slim is unreliable, cause from what i've heard from coutnless users, is that it runs far cooler, and is far more quiet.

I think people are taking small incident, and blowing them out of proportion in anticipation for what "could" be the new RROD - It's likely that this is simply the first batch niggles that always occur.
