Yeah PS3 is pretty much done. Even in "loyal to our own prouducts" japan, the PS3 is sitting on shelves. If PS3 is suffering that much in thier hometown, it wont get any better in the rest of the world. Even after they launch in europe. PS3 is definately the failure of the decade.carl2tan

PS3 is not selling as good as the xbox360 unless you find a 50,000 units difference meaningless, in which case you'd be mistaken. RFoM was good but nothing more, it wasn't a killer app or anything and it sold quite poorly for Sony's #1 game. VF5 sold even worse, there were reports of it selling even worse than DOA4 in Japan no less!!??! "Pretty soon" is a common used term by PS3 fans which never ceases to end because the after every failure of the ps3/games they all say "pretty soon". themyth01

 It's really not surprise the Wii is proving that the video game market is more suitable for low price machines rather than expensive even if advanced machines.

Hey, I dislike "Sony" as a company more than I disklike "Microsoft".  That's one of the main reasons I bought the 360 along with the fact it's a better console.  Not that their is that much of a difference between both.

Now, I will never own a PS3, and pretty well dislike the PS3.  But I would be foolish to say the least that the PS3 will not collect a good chunk of the console market.  As you mentioned, the BluRay, if it wins the format war will help the PS3 down the road, but right now it's actually the biggest reason it's selling so bad right now, $$$.

I really hope the PS3 does well because it will keep MS more honest, harder working and putting a more competitive console on the market for cheaper.  With out Sony, I fear that the Wii and 360 wouldn't evole much, and remain expensive and not the exciting.

Competition is the best for all gamers, any fanboy "Wishing" for the failure of the other console is just plain and simple, ignorant.  Just look at how boring the PS2 was without competition.  Now look at how much more the current consoles are, online, multimedia, downloadable content, HD graphics with working voice and video, etc...
