So they delayed Crysis because they knew it can't compete with Reach

Well if I were them I would have delayed too. Reach will completely overshadow Crysis 2 otherwise.

I am interested in Crysis 2 but I dont know anyone outside of GS that even knows what it is. Its sad but true.

Umm good for them? Most games cant compete with Halo sales numbers so delaying a release is a smart buisness move.

But let's face it. If this game is going to be better than Reach and CoD (and I'm positive it will be), it still won't sell as well as those two.

Its a smart move, they don't want to release during the holidays as thats when the most well know franchises are released. Valkyria Chronicles made this mistake, and only sold 250,000 (my be higher, i'm going off memory). Even though it was an excellent game.

Yeah, my mistake. I was thinking about the demo. But it came out during the Fall so it was around the same time frame.

The American market is heavily heavily influenced by advertising (which is sad). Crysis 2 could come out, and light up the charts with 10's from every site in the business, and more features than every FPS game before it, and revolutionary gameplay, and it wouldn't sell as much as Halo Reach or CoD given this influence of advertising in the US market.

I mean are you seriously knocking the game because EA is smart enough to not go head to head with the big dogs this year? I'm sure they want to make Crysis a bigger name in the industry, and they aren't going to do that by releasing right next to CoD and Halo.

MoH, Halo, and CoD come out in that period.

All well known franchises that sell a lot. They would be stupid to release their game in the same time frame.

I've also never seen them bash Halo.
