PSN plus is for renting a game for an entire year! gaining access exclusive demos's FREE minis and DLC's (Killzone2 Map packs, Fallout3 DLC's MAG expansions)

XBL has to rent online for $60, so its still behind PSN since PSN has online for free without a subscription 8)

wow thats an awful lot of rubbish. apart from wipeout HD, but i bought that years ago anyway and i can keep it.

but hey if you see value in it then thats all that matters. just as im sure some 360 owners see the value in live.

i pay for gold because it is the only way i can play multiplayer on xbox 360. i prefer xbox 360 over PS3 so free PSN doesnt matter to me

XBL Gold allow me to play my games online. That's good enough for me. I could careless which one is a better value(Though both seem like a rip-off)

Yes but, all my friends have xboxs. That's why I have gold. If sony didn't make the starting price $600 they would be equal.

I've got both and I think personally (Remember option not FACT) both have strong points and both have weak points. However then again common sense in System Wars is vastly overlooked for stupid fanboyism

I fail to see the overpriced part. Plus it gives stuff you keep forever aswell (not talking about discounts).

I believe renting a game one year would be greater than 59$ a year. Now multiply it by 12 games.

Plus is pretty good in value terms, I don't know why a thread like this was needed when it's white in a bottle already.

But you don't lose the ability to play your games online unlike live gold. PSN+ gives you more value for your money then renting the ability to be able to play your games online.

I will not lose my LBP, I will not lose some of my free DLC, I will not lose anything bought with discounts, i will not lose themes and avatars. (themes and avatars alone amount to the price of the subscription).

Also... I will not be playing Sam&Max episodes after they have been completed 100%. It's a great value for singleplayer experiences that can only last so long, but yet they give you enough time to complete them (as opposed to day rentals).

Sam&Max amounted to 25€ last time I checked on PSN. We got it as the monthly psn game.

and the subscription is 60€. I dont think one can care about the "long rental" factor if we take into account it's not even physical. I bet if you were told you could rent Sam&Max for one year for little more than 4€ you would do it, rather than buying it for 25€ and keeping it forever(1)

Why was this thread made and i am not seeing the same games your seeing i guess because you are in the UK and they are offering better stuff than the US site which to me is still a waste of my $50 the only game that i have seen that was worthwhile was crazy taxi and i can wait till it goes to $5 on xbox live one day as for games that are free spare me the themes should have been free for everyone and i still feel that they havent even done what they could have done a while ago and give games that people want i am never gonna see grandia or final fantasy 7,8,9 or tactics on there so its a waste to me IMO.

I really don't think "giving" me a bunch of stuff I already own and access to betas which are supposed to be free a good deal.

heh, see in sw it's not ok to pay for xbl to get a few extra features but it it's totally cool to pay $60 for mass effect 2 when the xbox version is $12 online.

if you are going to judge what people do with the money they earn at least try to be consistent about it.

for anyone that sees value in psn+ or anything else you want to spend money on thenthat's great, enjoy it.

PSN+ does not have a single feature that I would pay money for, and I dont ever see that changing.

I hate Paying for Xbox Live Gold.

That's $60 that I could use to buy a game (thankfully I haven't paid $60 for live.)

Playstation Plus is pretty cool to rent games and get early access Demos and Betas but honestly it's not for me, that's $50 for renting games a year while I could use $50 to get a game.

Not too fond of PSN+, but it's not really a rip-off for those gamers who buy a lot of DLC, PSN Games, Avatars or whatever else stuff you get on there. At least they keep the DLC and discounted stuff is always nice I guess.Luxen90
