Because consoles like any other product are defined by their value. With consoles that comes from games
So far the Wii has been pathetic in that regard, if they don't blow me away at their "big press conference" I'll sell mine for a tudy profit

You contradict yourself. Firstly you suggest that the wii has no value because, in your opinion, it has no games, then you go on to say that you'll sell yours at a 'tidy profit'.
You do realise that it's because Nintendo have done amazingly well with the Wii that you can sell one at a 'tidy profit'?
