Anime based upon western media shouldn't exist.

[QUOTE="MikeT072"]I love Halo, but I hate anime. It's fanbase makes up way too many weaboos and furries, the scum of the entire universe. Next thing you know there is gonna be some sort of weird Arbiter porn and that, my good sir, I will not have on my Interwebz.Arbiterisl33t69There already is.. Don't ask how I know that
Then I have completely lost hope in the human race. May God have mercy on us all.
*shoots self*
Because anime blows, thats why.I'm tired of seeing all these crappy comments about how Halo: Legends is 'teh milk' or whatever. With the hired guns behind this project there's no way it will be bad, whether you like anime/Halo or not it will have great story/story-telling.

I don't like the idea personally.... it's, well the word I want to use I'm sure would get me modded... so I'll just say that "HALO" represented as Japanime doesn't interest me at all, and from the trailer I saw looks silly... with some young blond haired boy (girl)?in Spartan Armor? Or maybe was a marine or ODST... not sure now... but needless to say... the character didn't fit in the Halo-verse.
I'm all for Halo branching out into different genres... but whats next... we gonna have a Halo-JRPG (FF Style)?

Eh, not really. Anime has become a cesspool of poor storytelling mixed with wannabe intellectual drivel, poorly developed characters, unfocused plots, and art direction that feels like copy/paste across hundreds of soulless material. I can always rely on guys like Hayao Miyazaki, Satashi Kon, and Shinichiro Watanabe to deliver the awesomeness, but everything else needs to burn in a very large fire.
As for Halo being anime, smells like cash in to me. Might be worth it during an afternoon of boredom, but I'm not seeing instant masterpiece here.
[QUOTE="MetroidPrimePwn"]Halo Anime:P Well I dont mine really. The whol emilking thing sure is annoying and it actually looks interesting. Anime? Cartoon is the word. Halo is not Japanese.I don't even know what Halo: Legends is :|

You should watch more anime. Sure, there's plenty of crap, but that can be said about any medium, be it games, movies or novels. There is at the same time a lot of truly good directors and studios, far more than those three you've named (especially since Satoshi Kon failed epically in making a series and Watanabe while good..there are better ones out there than him)

I used to be huge on anime...then I started getting into movies, books, and comics from other parts of the world, US or elsewhere. Even watching the newer stuff in anime is just painful, simply due to the reasons I stated before. Watching stuff like Code Geass is like watching paint dry.
Because spartans don't like that girls with long hair and blue eyes, not to mentiomn that they don't look like a young teenager, nor do they go around visiting random planets with even younger girls, or look like oversized robots.
Bungie is the only one to expand it, i don't like halo being influenced by japanese culture, or atleast the anime part, because then it's all cheesy.
Like Metal Gear? Like Final Fantasy (with how many movies)? Like Mario? Like Legend of Zelda? I don't understand, and this isn't directed directly at you, if you don't like it, don't watch it. Microsoft has some of the best anime studios working on this, so as long as it has QUALITY and isn't a cheap way to get cash, whats the problem?Halo; overkill more like

You mean like Sony/Ninty/SE trying to shove Final Fantasy on the American market gens before? Get over it..people act like Halo is the first game ever to have more than 1 sequel or nongaming media..its pathetic.MS's attempt to shove halo down the throats of the japanese market before reach.

[QUOTE="MetroidPrimePwn"]Halo Anime:P Well I dont mine really. The whol emilking thing sure is annoying and it actually looks interesting. The "milking" comments in regards to anything are a joke. Like any of us are so noble as to stand up in a dev meeting if employed by one and say, "we can't do this. It's milking our fans and we need to find a noble way to earn our money/feed our families/pay the rent for our office space/keep our business up and running." Please, it's a living for them and if people enjoy some franchises, why not give them what they enjoy? Get off the high horses until you have to make the ends meet in this industry.I don't even know what Halo: Legends is :|

(lol somebody revived my topic...anyhow)
Everybody that is rallying around that one poster that shows the bear charm and the CQB Spartan as a sign it will be 'Gaylo' or whatever are just reading a book by it's cover, and besides, it is only ONE story out of like five or so. I think this hate (yes hate) is just because it is Halo. If it was a different franchise (oh say...Final Fantasy...scream milkage again...seriously...even though I do like most of the franchise) that had a similar product (*cough* FFVII Advent -second coming of Christ- Children *cough*) EVERYBODY would be singing a different tune.
Regardless of what the haters say this will be worth the money.
