Becoming more serious here: MGS4 and GTA4 don't deserve 10s. They're good, but it was the luck of the draw for them. So I'd say it's more based on luck.

how was it luck of the draw? most websites also gave them 10s, and you understand its by .5 increments so getting a ten is easier than it used to be. They both did deserve 10s imo
It already has AAAAE's in my opinion. In fact, There are AAA games on it I consider to be significantly more enjoyable than MGS4. In fact, there are AA games on my PS3 that I think are significantly more enjoyable than MGS4, such as Uncharted & Resistance.

Yes but considering Xbox mostly appeals to shooter fans it wouldn't surprise me if you idea of a 10 was gears or halo, both of which are mediocre to me.

Never? But who cares? The Wii doesn't have an AAAAE and it is in first place. The PS3 is the only console this gen with an AAAAE and it is in last place.
Never. M$ does not put enough time into games. All xbox people make fun of delays however it does put out more a finished product and puts the fine detail onto things. Think about gears 1 if they had delayed it a bit to fix all of the stupid multiplayer problems and glitches. It would have made an awesome game even a little bit better to make it near perfect.
IMO id have to say halo wars, its halo so it wont be ported to the PS3, and it has been built from the ground-up made specifically for the xbox meaning it wont be ported over to the pc

Indeed. The only games to get a 10 in my book were Baldur's Gate 2, System Shock 2, and Deus Ex. Interestingly enough, these games do not have nostalgia going for them, as I only played each one for the first time in the last two years. They bIow everything, modern and not, completely out of the water.
never, and that doesnt bother me. MGS4 was superb as was GTA IV, but i dont put them leagues above other games ive played. I enjoyed Mass Effect just as much as MGS (dont kill me) so id take a constant stream of AAs and AAAs on all my systems over flops and one or two 10s anyday

Agreed. Outside of System Wars, it doesn't matter whether something gets AAAA or not-if it's a good game, it's a good game. Mass Effect is, with me, on par with Halo 3 and MGS4, and better than GTA4, though it scored at least a full point below each.
Also: ME gets a bit too much hate on these boards, methinks.
Honestly, Never. MS puts there games on the PC as well, so it will NEVER have a AAAA exclusive. Unless it is a 3rd party exclusive which are hard to come by these days. That dosent stop ME from enjoying the awesome games the 360 has to offer, PC players get to enjoy them as well. In the real world it dosent matter, but in SW it is ownage for some sad people.

Well, the lemmings came up with the whole using rating scores on gamespot as an argument, now a ps3 game gets a 10, they hide at gamerankings...
