So which game deserves the acronym "GoW" God, of Gears? Discuss

I'd say it'd be definitely God of War. Not ONLY did that series come first before Gears, but it also has more greatness to it. I understand completely they are two different genres, but I can't continue on being confused as to which one a person meant when they say "GoW". God of War has a better story, yet on several sites, the second one STILL competed for Game of the Year the year it came out, even amidst mostly some current gen games. Yep, a PS2 game going strong against 360, PS3, and Wii games. Who woulda thought?

Also, both games got better scores here on Gamespot than Gears did for either of them, and I'd suspect God of War III to be just as good if not better in terms of score.

I think GoW, because GoW just has more viceral atmosphere. Remember that part of GoW where you ride that awesome creature? Awesome. Plus GoW is a consistent AAA series. Oh man I am so pumped for GoW3wzboson
