So which system won 2010 ?

Joint ps3 and Wii. Wii got DK Country and Goldeneye, and PS3 got GT5. :)

I game on a PS3 and a Wii... Wii was clearly superior this year IMO

Wii:

Super Mario Galaxy 2 I'd score at 10/10 for being consistanly inovative and original

Donkey Kong Country Returns I'd give a 9.5/10 for being well designed, tough as nails, and full of content

I have a soft spot for platformers so it might be biased. I have downloaded many Playatation classic platformers on the PS3 though and they're pretty decent.

It was a toss up between PC and PS3, but the 360 and Wii were close.

In 2011 the PS3 will win by a mile over all others.

For me its:

• PS3
• PSP

If I had to choose a winner for 2010 I would say PC, despite the fact that my favorite game this year is RDR.

Anyone who says the wii did bad either hates all the amazing games or is just denying it :P.

As far the number of games that I purchased for each console: Picked up nine games for the 360, seven games for the Wii, eight games for the PS3 and eight games for the PC. All of the Wii games are exclusive though, while the majority of the 360, PS3 and PC games are multiplatform. In all honesty, I was more impressed with the Wii's lineup this year. It just came across as being more consistent throughout the entire year; exclusive wise anyway. There are still a couple of other games for the Wii that haven't been released yet this year, that I wouldn't mind picking up. The Wii definitely has my vote for the winner of 2010.

IMO, it's broken and here is why. Multiplatform games like Rockband 3 are listed as 360 games, same for Borderlands : Secret Armory DLC in the 360 slot (PC, 360, PS3 DLC), which is completely misleading if one didn't look into it. It gives the impression that Rockband 3 is a 360 only title for instance, or that the Borderlands DLC is a 360 only DLC. Not to mention, this list gives DLC reviews equal footing to full retail release reviews.

Too much personal research needed to figure out what is going on makes it less than useful for myself. It uses Gamespot's reviews without explaining Gamespot may not review equal mutliplatform games. Gamespot realizes users will figure it out, but such a list for quick glancing is useless if we want to know what's going on. Those two listings were only two I found with 10 seconds worth of work, I can't imagine spending more time trying to decipher more from that list. I'm not against a Gamespot list, but one that would require far less engagement to figure out the "which system won" on would be preferable.

I can say this, the PS3 did seem to have more AAA's this year than any other machine at Gamespot (PC, 360, Wii). Assuming I even read that link right on the home page, btw. However, In total AA's, the PC led, with Wii coming in a close second, followed by PS3 then 360. I voted for PC, in the poll, btw, but Wii was a close second for me in 2010. Followed by PS3 and 360 being last, for this year.

I mention this all, because I already saw posters use this list incorrectly in this thread, and also in other threads. What happens next, is someone has to explain to them what's going on with the list, pretty much every time. I would quote the user(s) in this thread, but instead, I just hope they read my post.

pc fallowed by wii and it's great exclusives this year. Y simply can't ignore galaxy 2, gaming at its core and its finest.

360 with reach, fable 3, ME2, the best versions of red dead redemption and black ops along with other multiplats. Great arcade games like castlevania harmony of despair, limbo, super meat boy along with others. It was a solid year for the 360.bigboss5ak

i had more fun with my psp then any home console but from that list the ps3 was ore fun then the others

PC ofcourse, kinda awkward that a 'dying' platform takes up the throne again. Cataclysm is soon to release, no Fable, Halo or GT5 game can match up with that wether u hate it or love it. It's a fact.

Fable 3 is my best game this year, far from meh

It is also vastly better than Fable 2 and totally unique, almost everyone that has played it loved it really

PS3 had God of War 3 (another "meh" game from a "meh" series), Heavy Rain (boring), and GT5 (a dissapointment). Maybe you have a different opinion on those games, but that's how I feel. Then on 360, there was ME2, Halo Reach, and Fable III: three games which I'd take over anything on the ps3's lineup. Then if I take into account multiplats like RDR, well 360 tends to outdue PS3 on those more often than not. If you don't agree with my assesment and if my opinion annoys you, well
