oblivion and crysis. both ended up being great game in the end. i bought a 7900 when oblivion came out that broke so i upgraded for christmas when i got the game.

Heh, I actually got it knowing I could only run it on medium at the time, because it looked like it had nice open gameplay. :P
well, you are one of the few :P I didnt buy the game when it first came out because my rig sucked, but once I got my rig up-to-date, I bought it. Normally I probably would have passed on this game. It looked like it had good gameplay, but im short on cash, but the great visuals really pushed me into buying it and im glad I did. Some of the best FPS gaming I've had in a long time :D After playing the demo, I was sold that Crysis would be an amazing game. And it was. :D
I didn't know anything about Crysis other than it was made by the same guys who made Far Cry and it had AWESOME graphics, so I bought it. I was actually dissappointed with the graphics I got out of it (didn't have Vista or a DX10 videocard, so no Very High for me), but I absolutely LOVED the gameplay.
Also, I bought Darwinia+Multiwinia off of Steam during their Holiday sale because of the game's awesome visual style. I love that game, too.

Crysis WARHEAD, i bought the original after trying the demo and loved the open world navigation with the nanosuit, it just seemed that warhead looked better so i just got it
FarCry2, and killzone 2. Though I would have enjoyed both without the graphics being a main focus. Also I will be getting crysis pretty much strictly for the graphics for my brand new rig....Which I still need Internet for :evil:
Not only did i buy Crysis because of the graphics but i actually wasted about $1000 buying a new PC that could run it on high.....looking back thats probably the dumbest choice i've ever made.
