So who owned the Xbox last generation and was satisfied with it?

The Xbox didn't sell very well. Without Halo: Combat Evolved and Halo 2, it probably would've failed miserably, and we would've never seen an Xbox 360. Despite Microsoft having a ton of excellent titles for the console -- Xbox was known as the Halo console, for better or worse. I'm one of the few who was satisfied with the console and I wasn't even that big on Halo, even though I enjoyed both of them to an extent.

The Xbox had many niche and popular titles I enjoyed...

never owned one, but seeing as how the 360 has B/C (well... sorta) i started hunting some xbox games, so far i got: Jet set radio future, Sega GT 2002, Shenmue 2, Project snowblind and Halost1ka

I had a crazy power surge and it killed my Xbox. :( Anyways, I picked up another one a little bit back, mainly because I wasn't too satisfied with how some OG Xbox games performed on Xbox 360, and because a lot of them aren't BC. Damn Microsoft! :x

Honestly, I wasn't too big on the PS2. I just didn't enjoy its big franchises that much. I did like a lot of the JRPG's, though. I just liked the Xbox, Dreamcast, and Gamecube more last generation.

Aside from the optical drive crapping out on me, I enjoyed it. The original controller was one of the few that actually fit into my hands comfortably.

Great selection of games, I sometimes still pick up the ones I miss when I see them.

Yeah, same here. Xbox 360 has better games.

I didn't get one until back in 2004. I remember I wanted to play Shenmue 2, Dead or Alive 3, and Mechassault badly for the longest time. I think it was cause I spent most of my time playing WC3: FT ladder back in 02-04.

My primary console last gen probably has to be both the ps2 and the xbox while the gamecube was my least favorite. I primarily got the GC due to Resident Evil franchise (well mostly RE1 remake)

... Really? That's a new one. Ever done a year by year comparison of AAA/AA/A numbers on the 360 VS the PS2? I'd bet it ain't that pretty. and yeah, I was a big XBOX fan last gen, and am a primary 360 gamer this gen.Shafftehr

I should've added "imo". I dig the social aspect of gaming, so it's obvious I enjoy what this gen offers much more. I wasn't a Socom or FFXI fan, so there wasn't much of that on PS2. Ratchet had ok online, though.
