they are in the same position as with the psone and two. ps3 sales are starting to pick up while 360s sales are on the decline.

ms lowered their forecast for 360 for june of this year by 2-3 million units and did not even meet their new target estimate.. in 6 months they only shipped 1.2 million consoles.. they shipped 10.4 million last year.. the console is obviously not selling well as it did last year... then you have to wander.. how well did it sale last year with so little shipment numbers this year..

Nope the 360 is going to be in second place in North America. A 360 for $299 is better than a PS3 for $450. ;)

I didn't say north america I mean worldwide, And you can't predict consoles cost because by gaming standards the 360 is past due for a reduction and the ps3 reduce uber quick. quorw me if you'd like.

Sony had to make a price cut because of the poor sales they were getting at $600. It's not somethingthey wanted to do so early on. Now once the 60gb PS3 is sold out there are going back to the higher price.

they have found ways to make the hardware cheaper so obviously they passed that savings on to consumers.

But Lemmings do not see a bigger pic, they feel they can win with just USA, and Europe. where the ps3 and Wii will have USA, JAPAN, and Europe which means more consumers. but still lemmings will not understand , that morecontinents that support their consoles, the higher chances of winning the console war this gen. they feel less continents that is supporting their console = a winner this gen. i know hte logic is pretty you know wack and all. but hey when next year comes along and ps3 over takes the 360 on sales, due to haveing consumers from JAPAN, USA and EUROPE, then the lemmings will finally admit that their logic is flawed out the wazhoo :) /thread

Lemmings are in denial. They still say the 360 will keep up with the Wii and even take back the lead after Halo 3 comes out, all it will do is put it on level terms with the Wii in the US for a few months, after Galaxy and Brawl come out then it is over. The 360 will come last and it is all because of their poor sales in Japan.

I love how cows say that the ps3 will outsell the 360 by next year....failing to realize that it's below 150k than 360 was at the same time period....

for the 360 to be passed by next year...the 360 a) has to stop selling altogether and b) the ps3 has to sell at least 500k a month starting now to catch up to 360 sales now....

Neither Sony, Microsoft or even Nintendo expected this. If true that is truly amazing, I am glad Nintendo is slowly becoming king again.

That was extremely early near launch time. After everyone saw the Wii selling out, we started revising our projections. Seems like most of our estimates for the Wii outselling the 360 next month were pretty accurrate.
