So xb1 and ps4 are barely getting new exclusives?

Seriously, now that Koji Pro's new game is confirmed to be on PC, after that whole "console exclusives, but we won't directly meantion the pc version" shit, it's obvious what i've been saying for ages.

If Sony and MS don't own the IP, it's probably going to end up on PC. Hell, DQ Heroes came even though many said it wouldn't because DQ didn't have a history on PC.

And even beyond that, MS and Sony are nwo putting more and more games on PC via themselves like Halo Wars 2 and Helldivers (plus Journey and EgttR if the leak is real).

I mean, sure, there's still some off games like Yakuza and Persona (da **** SEGA. No Vanquish or Bayo either), but most JP devs are now putting on Steam, even if tehy need to improve.

So which 100% "there's zero chance this ends up on PC" exclusives have MS and Sony announced?

PC install base is the largest in gaming beyond the X1 and PS4 and I always found it dumb to just ignore them. I understand companies shy away from them because of the pirating of games but you can't simply not make games for the PC

It's just the first party games that dont end up on pc, because you know they want pc players to buy the console manufacturers low end pc's.

Well yeah consoles got to have something of their own and that's where the first party studio's come in. But if you're a third party company, you can't sit back and ignore the PC anymore. PC gaming really is bigger than console gaming.

The cost of making games is too high for most to avoid a PC release. I said it all last generation, these two consoles are only worried about each other for the time being. They know anyone who is open to play games on a PC isn't going to be swayed away from that. Its the massive amount of people who do not want to play games on a PC that they are targeting. They want to exclude the others console.

Doint care really, I have more games than I can possibly lay at the moment on both x1/ps4.

Can't speak for PS4 since it's getting plenty of exclusives. It's an Xbox issue since the original Xbox.

PC market is too big to ignore. Some people who are still living in stone age, and try hard to convince themselves by saying stuff like "More salezzz on consolezzz" don't realize that. There is no reason for the game to be not on PC, since it's so easy to port games now.

PC community is also known for embracing new devs, and it's easier to publish games on Steam as well, so such teams almost always bring their games on PC when they start new studios or have some new ideas.

The only exclusives Consoles have now are the few first party games or very very very few games with exclusivity deal. Similar architecture also means that PC games can be ported to Consoles very easily but there are still many exclusives on the platform because they are technically not possible on Consoles or audience isn't there.

Eh, PS4 is getting plenty of exclusives starting next year. Even Xbox One isn't looking half bad.

Eh I don't think so. Sony still have plenty of in-house studios that will release games on PS4 only. Only these third party type deal seems to be making their way to PC. So Sony will be fine, can't say much of the same for the other two.

I agree, and because of that this is probably the last gen where I buy new Xbox or Playstation consoles.

As char listed above, there's still plenty of PS4 first party exclusives and a few third party ones as well. Most Xbox One games could come to PC, but that's hardly anything new - it's been that way since the creation of the Xbox brand.

Japanese third parties are coming to PC, and it's exciting, but it doesn't change the fact that exclusives have been predominantly first party for a long time now.

Unless you are big on weaboo games, its not a great time for exclusives. I guarantee more Sony titles will move to PC in the future except for the obvious ones.

Still, it's a pretty decent list, especially on PS4. Toss in shared exclusives (like, PS4/PC, PS4/PS3, PS4/PSV, PS4/PS3/PSV, PS4/3DS, XB1/PC), and it gets bigger and more impressive still.

PS4 looks like it's getting a high quantity of potentially high quality releases next year. And if the games that look to be coming to the PC also end up coming, who cares? As of now only a hand full of 'exclusive' games next year are confirmed to have a PC version coming. The majority are exclusive.

Personally i'm of the opinion that if it's not on competing consoles, and the quality's there, it's a game worth buying the system for. Cuphead and Ori are definately reasons to get an Xbox over a PS4. SFV the same for PS4 over Xbox. Frankly the WiiU's lineup isn't strong enough in 2016 to choose it over the other two if you don't have any of these systems. The overall library might swing it when it's all said and done, but for 2016 the WiiU is beat by the Xbox One and slaughtered by the PS4.

But anything could happen. A number of these games like Nier, Ni-Oh, Yakuza 6 could get a PC release in the same year. Or there could be delays into 2017 which is very likely. But assuming these are all 2016 releases and the ones that are AFAWK exclusive stay exclusive, these consoles will have more unique high profile releases than the PC next year.
