That is just one of them. I saw another that has a additional 11,000.

WoW sells amazingly.
Mhmm, I want to know from lemmings, other than GTA4 ... what netx year for them is going to sell as much as these 3:
Starcraft 2 , Wrath of the Lich King, Spore?
The 360 has lots of games in 08.
Heres the ones buying:
GTA4, RSV2, NG2, GeOW2, Fable 2, Too Human, Kingdom Under FIre, DMC4, RE5 and I'm sure there will be a lot others I will get.
Ok , GTA 4 , RE5 & Gears 2 ... the rest maybe million sellers, but thats all really.

Unfortunately, people torrent console games too. It's not that easy with consoles cause you have to mod the console first then you get banned from XBL. They make it way too easy for PC gamers to get pirated copies of games.
As for PS3 games I haven't read anything about people getting bootleg copies of games or if Sony is banning people from PSN.
I can afford to buy games and wouldn't bother with pirated crap.
Banned form Xboxlive? so? That means you cant play online or get nerdscore?
Same on the PC, you cant play online. so I ask you, whats the difference?
I wouldn't play nearly as much without online play. If for no other reason, that would be why i'd never pirate a 360 game. I love playing with my distant friends. I love the competition that other people provide. i love the social experience.

I'm not a lemming, but i'd predict Ninja Gaiden 2, Banjo Three-ie, Halo Wars, Endwar, Lost Odyssey, Rainbow Six Vegas 2, Splinter Cell Conviction and Fable 2 will shift a fair few copies. Not to mention the usual big hitters like Pro Evo, FIFA, Moto GP and Madden which come out every year.
why is everyone getting all worked up over the sales of these games? The pc market is very different to the console market.
I bought crysis 2 weeks after it launched, UT3 last week. Unlike console games which sell huge numbers in a short space, pc games sell over time. We are too busy playing other games and like to pace ourselves. So many games have been released in such a short space of time this was bound to happen.
Also many wait until patches are released until they buy.
Post sales in 2-3 months from now, im positive they will paint a very different picture. Here in the uk crysis has topped the sales charts (pc chart) on most game retailers. It even made the multiformats chart at play.com.

I tend to leave the sports rehashes out from my own preferance, rehashes that dont really have an effect on the rest of the 3rd party industry *imo*

In other words, i agree. :P
Come to think of it, 360 2007 was pretty poor from my perspective, other than Halo 3 & Mass effect, I didnt see any exclusives worth getting, and ofcourse I didnt get no multiplats for it.
2008 though, Im loving the look of 2008 and no doubt my 360 will actually be cleaned up from all the dust in the corner :P 20008, alot more non-FPS related excellent games.
I would say 2008 is all-round better than 2007 for PC.PS3,Xbox360 , mainly because well this year had loads of high quality games but the bulk of them were shooters.

And those sales figure are for two weeks....the games are bound to sell more.
Edit: If you are talking about developers, I am not too worried...because developers make a lot more money per PC game sold than the respective console counterpart, especially if the game is sold through digital means. I mean CD Projekt(The Witcher developer) probably made more money than made by some of X360's big titles seeing as the development cost was just around 5 million and almost nothing was spent on marketing.

PC games sell good when they hit the bargain bin and the section for PC games at Walmart and Gamespot is puny. PC developers make money off of advertising hardware "best on Nvidia" "use a Dual core intel extreme".
After developing a game on the PC it's easy to port the game to the 360 and make money off of the many console gamers that buy games all the time.

Yah listen I know your a lemming, your not fooling, but nonetheless.
I bought 17 PC games this year, all my mates got 360s, but they have barely been used, im serious, 9 of us stopped playing it after about 2 weeks.
Different situations always occure, I logically went for all the multiplats on the PC.
Next year it will be more even, as games like RE5 , GTA4 ect wont be on the PC for another 8 months on top. as far as multiplats go though like Fallout3 , alan wake ect, they will be on the PC.
Damn next year is expensive too. Thank god for cheap student life & part time jobs, enjoy it while we can eh?

He is completely correct. Had my PC not been a bit lame, i'd have bought all my multiplats for the PC this year, with the only 360 games being Halo 3, Mass Effect and PGR4. Now that i've got a new, badass PC, i cant see myself buying a 360 game for a good while.

Its harder to max than Half-Life 2, WoW runs at 50-60FPS on my PC ( yes its now multicore supported) at 4X AA , Half-Life 2 Source games ( Orange Box ) run at 70-90 on 24 multiplayer maps at 16x AA.

other pc games? It's good compared to other pcgames. Far Cry sold well over 1mln copies worlwide and Crysis is selling many times faster. You're making a mistake by assuming pcgames sell like console games. They don't. PCgames sell evenly for a whole year, while console games sel majority of their whole sales in first month. With 90K sales in two weeks in US Crysis should already be closing to 500K worldwide. I doubt it will have much problems passing 2mln mark, might even pass 3mln

And The Witcher sold one million copies worldwide despite having sold less than 60,000 in America. Shows how important US sales are when we're talking about PC Games... And those numbers still don't account for digital distribution.

I wish people would stop acting like the US market=world. I do believe console gaming is bigger than the pc market here in the uk but pc gaming is as big as each of the consoles individually.

Is this why The Witcher just sold over a million?
Or gee, maybe looking at purely retail in the USA for the platform with the best development online distribution and the most global appeal isn't going to tell us the whole story.
you musta missed my big thread on this.......hermits evidently get a pass for their 2 biggest games flopping in sals.MikeE21286
Hey, fair is fair. When other systems can prove a significant amount of their software is sold through means other than retail, they can have a pass too.
Despite what hermits say, I doubt digital distribution is very high. Outside of Steam, I'd say the rest are drops in the bucket.SkyRaid
I always love an argument that says, besides the 13 million active users on Steam, I bet digital distribution is not very high. It's like identifying the strongest argument and saying it shouldn't count.
Facts are, it is. In 2006 alone revenue from the global online market hit near $4 billion, growing nearly 20% each year. That's nearly half of the console retail revenue from the NPD in the same year. Additionally, DFC believes that digital distribution is driving this growth.
Whenever they talk about PC games "selling over 2 million copies" or whatever, it's never US numbers.
PC gaming is something that's very poplar in Europe and other places, but not so much the US surprisingly. I have never heard anyone bragging about any PC game's sales without the word "worldwide" in it.

Why should it be just U.S numbers. U.S is not the world. Not just U.S people use this forum. Look at what is happening now, console gamers going on and on that crysis only sold 80k in 1st 2 weeks in U.S. its just getting old and boring now.
