x1 is about 3,5 times faster than x360, to its hard to jump from 720p to 1080p and still have all the visual improvements, it looks they had to cut down on some things

The worst part of it all is how you completely disregard how good the game looks as a completed product, it looks fantastic and has character models that closely approach Until Dawn levels in an actual playable game.

I talk about Tomb Raider because I'm a huge fan and the deal was a disaster from the start. I think every one(including Microsoft and Square Enix) realize this now. I hope Square Enix was well compensated for the damage they have done to an IP that had just received new life.

One console is released in 2005. The other in 2013. We're currently at the end of 2015. "Some" assets are better on the system released in 2005. Let that sink in.

What damage? All the people who were going to buy it are still going to buy it regardless of when it's released on whatever platform they own. It's like Street Fighter V, if that eventually does come to Xbox One down the line do you think people on Xbox who wanted it are going to bitch and moan? About which part should i even damage control for? There's nothing to damage control, i posted a DF video and that's that. There are so many other games releasing in 2016 that I would prefer to play over ROTR. I would have probably bought it day one now, but it's a bargain bin/$5 Steam sale in 2016 or later. And no it will not get all those lost sales back. Maybe PC gamers will still be excited because they are used to waiting for ports and the wait will be shorter, but most PS only gamers will will not care about a year old game with all the big games that will release holiday 2016.

And why..are a significant amount of people going purchase Xbox One over PS4 to play ROTR a year early? No. Or that PC gamers that have no interest in Xbox One would buy it for this?

Any way Microsoft sent this game out to die after they realized they couldn't trick people into thinking it was a real exclusive. SE tried to salvage the situation by announcing the release windows for other platforms. The damage is done though.

Btw ROTR just debuted on PAL charts with 63k sold...down from the reboot's 183k. It was only available a couple of days, but the next week will surely be lower. It's already in the 50s on Amazon's U.S. hourly charts and never cracked the top 10.

The deal and the game is a flop(financially). There is no way in Hell either party does the deal if the current results were projected. Only Xbox fanboys thought this deal was good idea. Hell even the reviewers who love this game have mentioned that is deal is huge mistake because of how few people will play it now. Best game that the fewest people played 2015 award.

You're being delusional. The ONLY reason MS would pay for exclusivity is to get more people to purchase an X1. If people see H5, GeOW, Forza AND games like TR then perhaps they'll purchase an X1 since consoles are only as good as the games on it.

Your reboot sell 8.5 million(granted with lots a heavily discounted sales/bundles on last half of that) and you go out and make it timed exclusive to the lowest selling platform? In the end don't think either party will feel they got their money's worth.

I doubt either party will disclose the terms of the deal so it always be speculation. The only facts available now is that ROTR is an afterthought this holiday season(outside of SW shit like this). Which party benefits from that?

I'm thinking about getting back into PC gaming so I might not have to wait that long for the PS4 version. And if I did choose not buy as protest to this deal what is wrong showing your disapproval of something by voting with your wallet? I'm not the the biggest TR fan, but I played the first game back from the start and TR2013 made me a huge fan again. I was an active member on the official forums and even submitted entries into fan contests around release of TR2013. That is more than average person who bought the game did. And I bought it twice. A deal like this makes wonder should I give a **** about this franchise. You don't see other publishers pimping out their successful games.

I said before this happened that the two IPs I hope Microsoft doesn't try to moneyhat this generation were Tomb Raider and Mass Effect. They tried to get both, thankfully EA said no.
