Cheater cheater pumpkin eater.
Doesn't look that much better to me, and Too Human is a year away. Some of you guys fail to realize this. Judging a games graphics when it's over a year away is worthless.
Is that the UE3 or the UE2.5? :? Extremely unimpressive to say the least. They should have released it on the Gamecube.foxhound_fox
Hell it was originally a PS1 title. I've been trying to find that website that has all these beta pics of games and Too Human on the PS1 was one of them.

You gotta wonder how long it'll be before MS cuts their losses and asks for some of that 100 mil back, and tells SK that they can only make on TH game.
But then again, what does MS care? They paid 50 million dollars for downloadable content in Grand Theft Auto 4.
Wow, I think my IQ dropped 10 points from reading some of the posts in this thread.
First off, yes, it is a major downgrade. Thats whats going to happen when you take a game that was nearing completion and then create a whole new engine for it. What SK did was abandon the UE3 (which has proven itself to becapable of absolutely fantastic looking games) and is now using a brand new in-house engine due to their problems with Epic. Its going to take a little while for Too Human to get back to looking as good as it did, and back when it was running on the UE3 it was much better looking than gears and probably even better looking than Mass Effect. Go check out some of the HD videos from a while back, the game looked fantastic. Its just the game has undergone such a drastic change when SK switched from the UE3 to the Too Human engine.
As for the $100 million spent in development for Too Human, thats spread out over the games entire lifetime and its various publishers. No one (sane anyway) is going to spend $100 million for one game that while good looking isn't going to be on a Halo level of success. Too Human has problably still been an expensive game for MS, but its not costing them $100 million.
And finally as for the whole SK vs. Epic case, personally I have to side with SK. Too Human has been in development for more or less the past 10 years and was scheduled for a late 2007/early 2008 release. I don't know about you guys, but if Iwas within months of finishing a project that has been bounced around between platforms and engines for the better part of a decade, I'm not going to switch engines again without a damn good reason. Why would SK want to draw out the development of Too Human even further by dropping the UE3 and starting from scratch for the 4th or 5th time? Unless the guys running SK are total masochists it just doesn't make any sense. Also since Too Human is published by MGS chances are MGS would have been involved in any dispute between Epic and SK before the lawsuit, and that would help explain the apparent bad blood between Epic and MS much better than whether or not some GearsDLC was free or not.

I agree with absolutely everything. Excellent post. :)
wow if that is their new engine it looks like utter crap.VACASCULIADASIts early in development, or as the folks over at bungie would say "pre-alpha". The new engine hasprobably been in development for only 6 months max, its going to take some time to get pretty'd up.

It doesn't matter to me. Silicon Knights hasn't failed me yet, and I have no reason not to trust that the final product won't be amazing. I'll be buying this one as soon as it hits store shelves. :)

Chronologically, they would be old screens since they look like UE3 and were released before the screens I put in my post. God knows why you reduced the resolution...
Can someone explain to me why Gears of War got dragged into this?
