Something that needs to be said about the real state of the XBOX 360 in JAPAN

The PS2 used to outsell the XBOX by to the tune of over FOURTY times every week. Heck, even the Gamecude used to outsell the XBOX by over 10 times per week. And in many weeks, the original XBOX sold less than 300 units. So far this year, the 360 hasn't even gone below 2000 in weekly sales.
No one is talking about PS3 outselling the 360 by fourty times in Japan today. That's progress.
Still a long way to go in Japan for the 360 though.

What's even funnier is that despite the 3:1 Userbase advantage the PS3 has over the 360 in japan, the 360 still manags to Sell more Software :lol:

I find pathetic that 360 fans fail to aknowledge the fact that 360 had a year without competition in Japan and yet PS3 sold far more in a week then 360 sold in a year !

MS knows what they're doing and they know they need to be patient, people here don't understand you can't just come out of nowhere and win, it takes time and MS knows that. but not even sony or MS anticapated the Wiistrahd01

actually no I wouldn't cuz what they play over there is quite different than over here, and like I said the u.s. kills both countries in sales numbers, and I believe, like how you believe yours and sonys rhetoric,that ms was just saying that so they could possibly look better over there in the public eye, and by the way the sales numbers are catching up over there so sony better start checking their rearview mirrors

ps3= overpriced, overhyped, and crap versions of multiplats, its a sinking ship bub the consuming public knows it, gets nothing but bad press, not much is gonna save it now, not even a price drop, maybe some killer games which all 3 systems will have anyways can help but I highly doubt it, its going the way of the sega saturn, sony just screwed it up this gen but thats ok you dont have anything to worry about, its not going out of business and u always have ps4 to look forward too

Yes, Gamecube sold like 4-5 million in Japan. It failed miserably there. The US was the only place where the Cube sold decently, and that was with around 12 million sold.

The 360 isn't dead. Games like Trusty Bell are just a preveiw of what the 360 is capable of doing in Japan. And if the 360 really is "dead" then the ps3 will probably be next, then what? good luck winnining in the rest of the world where it actually matters.

Because we all know that the X-Box's 28million units just decimated Nintendo's 21million. The X-Box was such ownage, in fact, that it outsold the GC by 7million all by itself, and it had nothing to do whatsoever with the 100million+ PS2s. :roll:

Yeah.. that still blows my mind. I don't get that one at all. Japan gamers are suppose to hate American games, yet they are buying more software for a system that is selling worse then the PS3 & Wii. Amazing. There are some good RPG's coming out for the 360, so hopefully that's help boast sales in Japan.

Uummm the PS3 isalready kicking the 360's butt in Japan. The 360 isn't going to suddenly take off in Japan and sell millions. M$ just wants to have a presence in Japan at this point. They are destroying the PS3 in the U.S. & Europe and overall. 11 million to 3.5 million is a pretty large gap. If the 360 outsells the PS3 worldwide again this holiday season, the gap is going to widen even more.

That fact that the 360 sales in the U.S. is outselling the PS3 in both the U.S. & Japan combined speaks volumn. So the PS3 beating the 360 in Japan is pretty meanless if the PS3 is being outsold in TWO regions by sales of the 360 inONE region. The 360 doesn't need to surpass the PS3 in sales in Japan. The U.S. sales alone is beaten it in both regions. :lol:
