no, (i forget the names) you are playing as a soldier in a huge army fighting against the other huge army(locust!)....

You COULD argue that in terms of the story, it would make more sense than Uncharted, but it really just would not fit into the design.

I personally dislike when there are too many people in one game. It needs to be balanced. GeOW is fine the way it is. It allows for good team coordination. How often will you see a team of 10+ random players play well together as a team? Rarely...JunkTrap
The only game where it works is R2 and that is bc R2 has big maps and puts you in squads so it never really feels like you are playing a 60 player match. It works in Kz2 sometimes depending on the map (32 players on Tharsis depot is crazy frustrating crap bc map is so small.)

Did 50 ppl even play frontline EVER? oh and huxley was scaled back AND the 360 version was put on hold and likely cancelled so please try again

It's pretty clear it's more of a tactical game, or else cover wouldn't be such an integral part to the gameplay. If you use cover or not is your own decision, but you'll be more successful with it, thus using tactics to be better at the game. This is no Halo or Unreal.

You can use cover in any game. Not so much in unreal but even in Halo. What do you when you get shot? Hide until your health regenerates.. Just because in gears you attach yo your cover doesn't make it "tactical". But whatever, this argument will go nowehere

You obviously havent played against good players then. Guardian and Wingman can be some of the most tactical game modes in any game, specially clan matches. Wingman is just nuts some times, some players actally create heavy defended holding spots, it's like trying to get inside 2fort in Gears 2 :P.

This, i have more Lancer (and NOT chainsaw) and HB kills than shotgun kills. People actually use the lancer and HB ALOT, unless someone is a die hard gears 1 fan or the situation just asks for it

i agree for design purposes it would not be efficient, but uncharted also needs to have fewer numbers in order to make sense of its story.

i dont even know why this matters.

Ugh, i played quite a few of full matches in frontlines, and believe it or not it was pretty smooth. Huxley just got delayed until the PC version is finally coded.

Who cares if it will be tactical or not. It looks fun as hell and insanely dynamic! Looking forward to the beta.

Multi-tiered Platforming + Cover System + Melee Mechanics + Stealth Mechanics + Exploring for weapons + Shooting Mechanics + Naughty Dog Polish = WIN

Could end up being one of the most fun and dynamic Advernture games ever made.

I'm glad that Sony and Naughty Dog are finally catching on that more players doesn't mean better. I expect people saying that Uncharted 2 multiplayer is more tactical and such, etc., and probably the people saying that are the ones who bashed Gears only have 5 vs 5, lol.

3 ps3 games with lots of players... the following ps3 games all have atleast 32 player multiplayer (r;fom, r2, kz2, socom:confrontation, mag, warhawk)

The argument was at least from no blinf fanboys was that, R2 multiplayer gives you the option to have up to 30 v 30. Only someone who doesn't knwo what they are talking about or is just a fanboy or hasn't played the game would say the 360 can't handle 30 v 30. its not the system its the devs! why do people always try to blame or give credit to systems when its the devs that dictate everything that happens?

It depends on the style of game and pacing. Like 5v5 for Gears is perfectly fine. The traversal gameplay of Uncharted would make the maps seem crowded with 20+ players. For the design ND is shooting for, it'll be optimal.

Common is the thing I'm talking about. 360 games aren't known for pushing numbers of players. I think some gamers have an issue with MS 1st party not going that route...then again, it isn't necessary when the concept and design of the game fits.

it's the cows lame excuse to say ps3 can handle more player when it is nothing but a design choice. l4d has a max of 8 player while tf2 has 40+ so tf2 must be more technically advanced which isn't true it all come down to the design.
