More like the revival of 2D Sonic, because that seems to be what Sega's going for. They're trying to make this game more like the 2D Sonic games of old, not like the crappy 3D Sonic games.
Check the sig. I'm hyping it AA. By the way, this game looks rather nice. It's not mind-blowing, but the graphics are pretty nice. I'll probably buy this game if it cracks the top 10 Wii games on Gamerankings. I don't trust any one review source.
AA.
After watching the newest trailer, I think this will be the revival of 2D Sonic. It seems fast (and fun), you only as Sonic (except for the multiplayer :P) and in motion it actually looks nice.

Glad to hear! :) but if this flops no more Sonic for me!!!! :(I expect some form of the phrases "brutal camera" and "akward to control" to show up somewhere in the review. No faith whatsoever in the Sonic franchise anymore.strudel420i agree..

Read the preview and watched the trailer with the cheesy music. I'll stick by what I said. If the game doesn't dissapoint, and you aren't crushed by another failed Sonic game by all means feel free to bump this at a later date to say I told you so. Until then I won't get sucked into 3D Sonic hype.

I expect some form of the phrases "brutal camera" and "akward to control" to show up somewhere in the review. No faith whatsoever in the Sonic franchise anymore.strudel420"One of the biggest challenges befalling pretty much every 3-D Sonic title is the implementation of the in-game camera. It has become commonplace for Sonic titles to have completely broken cameras that often cause frustrating player deaths. Sonic and the Secret Rings cleverly sidesteps this problem by shooting the action from a dynamic camera angle which is not player-controlled, but which almost always does a perfect job of filming the scorchingly fast action. Although, we are usually sticklers for a manual camera, Sonic and the Secret Rings retains a classic Sonic the Hedgehog feel by taking the camera control out of the player's hands." -IGN So it seems the "brutal camera" seems to be fixed. IGN didn't once complain about akward controls and really had positive views about the controls with the wii-mote. But I guess you got to play for yourself. I'm sure this game will be alot better then the 360/PS3 Sonic.

K so I wrongly assumed based on the last few garbage 3D Sonic games? I said if it turns out to be a good game to come back and tell me I was wrong. Until then I'll just continuing assuming (whether that is right or not) that it isn't going to be a whole lot better then any Sonic game that has been released in the last 10 years.

Don't worry I can understand if people are scpetical about the game. But really if Sonic for the Wii does get a bad score then it will be a big dissapointment and almost hopeless for a good Sonic game. We just have to wait and see...[QUOTE="CuDDKiDD"]Overdoing it huh?AAA by me, and I'm being serious :o.
SyluxElite
Maybe, and more than likely, but the worst that can happen is people whom i've never met claim ownage on me. I'm sticking with my AAA hype, but realistically speaking it'll fall somewhere between the low AA or high A range, which for a Sonic game would be amazing.
