as for generations vs adventure, I'm with shockwave. I prefer the sonic/shadow levels from SA2B to the 3d levels of generation and even the 2d ones, and it's not nostalgia because the sonic/shadow levels hold up well to this day. plus it has the chao garden. however the shooting and treasure hunting is pretty weak
Now SA1 seems pretty terrible based on the xbl demo.

Then you're crazy as him. I just played Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 literally after I just posted that along with some other Genesis and Dreamcast games. They're both utter jittery **** The slightest touch on the analog and you die. All the love for those games lie in the atmosphere and nostalgia because the gameplay is unbelievably crappy.
well i also went back and replayed some SA2 after i made my post. and saying it holds up well to this day was something of an overstatement but i still don't think generations is better, and i would like to see them go the adventure route again, just fine tune the controls and camera.
I can't for the life of me understand why anybody would want the overworlds and clunky non-Sonic gameplay modes again.
