Well this is a step above Sonic 06, but not as big of a step as I'd hoped. :?

Sonic Next Gen scored higher than both versions(6.75 according to Game Informer), wow, just wow. And Nintendo Power gave it an 8, who to trust?mitu123

so because of that one "discrepancy"-involving a game that you havent even played, the magazine is now useless :?

even when the score of the game isnt too far off IGN's score...

After seeing the TV commercial, I lost hope. Completely. Its 2D sonic or nothing. Till they can do that, Sonic is road kill :(

I think this is the point where I be all hypocritical and agree even though ive never played sonic 06.

I have to agree. Game Informer is a great magazine. I disagree with them sometimes, but that's because we're people with different opinions. That doesn't mean the magazine is bad. It's the best gaming magazine out there, imho.

There's no reason to apologize. :D But EGM is the worthless mag. Such a cheap thing. I'm happy I get it free every single year through the free sponsored subscriptions.

Who knows. But I would like to add that Nintendo Power gave Shadow the Hedgehog a 8 also, so...

When the best reviewed Sonic game in recent memory was made by BioWare and not Sonic Team, that's a sign that Sega needs to close Sonic Team. Man, how many bad Sonic games does that make it? 5? 6? I honestly think maybe Sega should give Sonic to AM2, at least they can make decent gameplay! Maybe even give Sonic to EA, so BioWare can do whatever they want with it!

Seriously, I was angry when I heard about the Werehog concept, because that was an early sign that they were going to **** it up again, and what do you know? They ****ed it up real good. I'm honest here, Sonic got me into video games with Sonic Advance 1, and of course I'm going to give it a place in my heart I wouldn't give other games, but even now I hate Sonic Team with everything in me.

As usual, Sonic does better on Nintendo.

Still, that's not saying much though
