sonic will run around master chief and once he's got his attention and start shooting at sonic, then mario comes up from above and stomps on master cheif and splat he goes. the chief explode in a very badly made graphics created by the console and  releases a star/coin that sonic and mario gets to share. THUS winning the 2007 software sales.

Yeah right.  Its a given fact that most Olympic games suck and there hasn't been a good one since Epyx summer games back on the good ol Apple II.  The Mario/Sonic theme means nothing.  I'm not a big fan of Halo either but there's no way this game will come close to being as good as Halo 3 not to mention its a totally different theme.

I think this game will sell very well and, under the eye of Miyamoto working with Sega Sports (NOT Sonic Team), should turn out to be a good game as well.
I guess I don't have that instictive "Mario sports gamez = sux roflcakes lolrsktz" reflex that you guys do. Believe it or not I liked Mario Golf. And Mario Tennis.

But a Halo killer? Why are we even comparing a sports game to a FPS?

I think they mean in terms of sales. Obviously Sonic and Mario in the same game will be a draw, as will an olympics liscense. With it being made by Sega sports, it will be awesome.
