Let's face it, new hardware is ALL Ninty can do to make their conferences even remotely interesting. It "won" them E3 last year with the 3DS and it will probably o the same this year with Cafe. But, the GAMES will be at Sony's and possibly Microsofts conference.

-Karmum-

Kid Icarus, Donkey Kong Country Returns, Legend of Zelda: Skywards Sword.

I'm pretty sure Donkey Kong Returns was released in November of 2010 (or something like that), unless they announced another Donkey Kong game. And those two games? Yawn. I mean, just from what you listed, I know there will be more games.

I was refering to last years E3.

like what someone else said if certain games like GTA 5, a halo remake,FFvs13 and/or a new Metal Gear Solid are shown at e3 this year then it is possible.

[QUOTE="campzor"]new console from nintendo is BIG.. but sony has SOOOO MANY games... AND the NGP..Slimmin360
Sony ? Oh Please, they can't even keep PSN up and running and you expect them to have a good E3 showing, if i was Sony i would be too humiliated to even show up at E3, there PS3 software gets hacked every other day. If they were as smart as Nintendo they would go back to the drawing board and either reinvent there user interface or just put out a new console altogether with an all new interface and online service. Otherwise this constant hacking will cost them millions.

So PSN is more important to you than killer games? If that's the case, then why do you care about Nintendo. They have easily the worst online this gen.

What could Sony or Microsoft possibly do or announce that would touch Nintendo's presentation of a new console.

Kinect and Move have been out for over 6 months, and i just don't think new game announcements are going to impress the crowds as much as Nintendo strutting there stuff with there new console and new 3DS game announcements.

I honestly think Microsoft and Sony already lost this years E3 to Nintendo.

i5750at4Ghz

Games. Hardware is only a means to an end. That end being great games, which doesn't require new hardware. If Sony or MS have the better games they will win.

Do you think Nintendo will announce a console but no games? lol

i dont understand without a console their is not any games to look forward too...we basically know everything thats coming out at the end of the year besides some. I dont know if everybody remembers but last E3 all sony showed was games we already knew about and MS showed kinect.

Sony has the NGP which looks good but i want a price.

Although a new console will undoubtedly get a lot of attention, that doesn't give them the auto-win of E3. For example, if all it has is specs and some tech demos, that isn't that impressive. Also, I wouldn't be in the least surprised if one or both of the others toss out their own announcements of next gen consoles in development, just not as far along.

I'm really looking forward to seeing if Microsoft can top the lulz and zzzz's of the disaster that was last year's E3. MS better find some bombshells from somewhere, cos another 90 mins of people flailing their arms like they're having a seizure isn't exactly going to win over all the gamers pissed off at them atm.

If anything lost, its this thread. Correct me if I'm wrong, but theres about 100 million PS3/360 owners. Many who have just purchased the console. I doubt a new system, from a company that was a software/hardware joke this gen , are gonna go crazy over this console. Hell, I bet MW3 would get more love from the adult/non-casual gamer crowd than this new console. The casuals that pushed those Wii sales up? More than likely have no idea what the hell E3 is...

Sony's E3 wasn't great last year, MS's was downright awful. Nintendo is likely to be the one springing the surprises. Its their E3 to lose IMO.

one way Sony could win is having a trailer in the trailer we see hazy dream of someone is fighting and a pre mini boss knock the hero downand the hero wake up and see his orange little weasle friend and the screen faith to black and Naughty Dog creators come out totally suprising their fans announcing Jak 4 for ps3.

for micorsoft announcing lost odssey 2 and, JRPG,platformers

nintendo is definatelly gonna have more to show

3ds games

Ninty might win E3 this year with their new console, but to be honest, it doesn't look appealing to me. I know they're playing catch up with PS3 and 360, but it's just too late.I know they'll announce a killer lineup for it and show some footage, but there has to be some games that people will want to play, not just Mario.

To the games department, I think Sony has this years E3 in the bag. I remember I've read an article saying that Sony has 4 new exclusives that aren't even announced or known yet for the PS3 that will be announced at E3 this year. Also, people are going to keep an eye on Sony's conference for the official release date and pricing for the NGP along with its lineup of games. Sony might even surprise us with a few new features.

MS will have to announce a ton of games if they want to stay alive this year. Gears 3 and Forza 4 aren't enough to keep the 360 alive this year. Kinect needs to be put aside and have more games announced for the 360 in order for MS to compete in this years E3.

We'll just have to wait and see in early June by what the big 3 have to say.

A new console is just about the biggest thing a conference could have. But if the rest of the conference is worthless, a strong series of new game reveals could beat it.

To be correct, Wii has led this generation since its launch. The only thing they really did bad was weak hardware (Which still sold more, go figure)

I'd agree, if this was 2010. Not many games I'm expecting from any company except Nintendo.

MS will definitely announce more exclusives...for Kinect.

The Wii has led this gen, but there was an article saying that Nintendo's profits were 66% down. Looks like it is time for them to announce that new console, but us PS3/360 users won't hop on it that fast. The only ppl I see buying this are hardcore Ninty fans and ppl that wanna play Zelda, Mario, Starfox, and other Nintendo 1st party characters in 1080P.

Sony has a good amount of games to show for the PS3 and they'll show games for the NGP.

Nintendo will show their next console and 3DS games.

Microsoft needs to announce something and show their games.

Depends just how interesting the new console looks. If it's for example JUST as strong as a 360/PS3, then MS/Sony won't have to do too much to beat it.tagyhag

Coolyfett agrees with this. Games are very important and a great game announcement from either firm would be a positive thing. We just dont need another laser tag presentation...that Ubisoft stunt still bothers Coolyfett.

Unless they show off HD Zelda or something, I don't quite much care about nintendo's coming into the current-gen.. care more about the NGP at this point. 110million

But you must admit, Nintendo finally joining the HD Generation is a good thing. Gaming is now stronger.

A $199 PS3, followed by the usual surprise announcements (GOW4, new game from Quantic Dream, etc.) is enough for me.

I suppose some people will be hyped to hear more about NGP, but handheld announcements are never as exciting as home console announcements (for Westerners, anyway. Maybe in Japan handheld announcements are more exciting.)

The new console down't really matter, its not coming for at least another year. In order to win they will need to announce some things for this year, or the Wii is going to have an absolutely abysmal year.

I doubt it, Nintendo's new non-portable console that doesn't utilize a TV sounds like a horrible idea, if anything my hopes for the future of gaming will be from what MS and Sony and MOST IMPORTANTLY all the third party developers that make games for both their systems have to show at E3.

IMO yes. Unveiling new consoles/hardware is always the most exciting.

Sony will show games we already know about and MS will probably show Kinect stuff, Multiplats, Forza 4, and Kingdoms.

I think they should be able to. Now would be the ideal time for Sony to undercut their competitors and disrupt the console market, since the Wii 2 won't launch for another year.

True enough, Microsoft would just simply respond by bringing the 250gb 360 down to $199. Still, it would be good PR for Sony to make the first shocking move. Either way, I doubt either of Sony's competitors could outsell a $199 PS3.

are you implying consoles have been targeting pro gamers all these years?

The only reasons consoles survived was because they target a casual audience. The pc is for the hardcore

I agree. Farmville is hardcore at it's finest.

personally i don't think nintendo would or ever SHOULD cater to hardcores. Mario, zelda, DK, fzero, starfox etc are all awesome fun games, but aren't and have never been hardcore. They are fun games anyone can play. Nintendo should just stick to that. best they can do is make a console strong enough to have multiplats, and a control scheme(DUAL ANALOG, AN NORMAL ANALOGS FOR ONCE:)) that attracts PS3/Xbox players, then work like MAD to get 3rd party companies on board to make those "hardcore" games. Either that, or Nintendo makes there first M+ rated "hardcore" game IP from the group up,.... which could prove VERY interesting.

What could Sony or Microsoft possibly do that would touch Nintendo's presentation of a new console.

Strippers.

What if nintendo bring on out strippers, Giant Crabs, Fire Works, Free money, Oprah, Justin Bieber and Natalie portman naked doing a crab. nintendowns....

Ok, sorry, but orprah and justin Bieber only spells FAIL to me. That would doom nintendo forever as a mom-young teen console :P

How about more info on games we can play this year instead of 2012?

I think that's far more worth it than a 2012 console.

Well its nice to see nintendo finally joining the current gen. Hey reporters are saying that Wii 2's graphics might top the 360's. I just can't wait till they announce the great shovelware titles.
