Soooooo much talk about a console that is still 6 months (possibly less/more) away from coming out. Can we just, find something different to talk about for just a couple of days?

Nope because the idea of a system being more powerful than the PS4 and Pro is terrifying the Sony fannies. They suffer a meltdown weekly.

There's been a system more powerful than PS4, Pro, and even the Flopio since the start of the gen it's called a PC. ? No one is afraid of your mid-gen overpriced Flopio with no games.

Microsoft could bring back the RRoD with Scorpio.

A return to the glory days of the Xbox 360 where Xbox fans bought 3,4,5+ duplicate consoles and massively inflated its installed base numbers by tens of millions.

I think you guys on here fail to realize just how many people there are out there that want to play their favorite game i.e. Madden/FIFA/COD etc on the latest and greatest system cause it will look better.

Xbox Scorpio is gonna offer people things you can't do on Switch and Pro plain and simple.

you can already do these things for the last 3 years on PC

PS4 is my main and the NS is my secondary. No need for a third system.

That said, others prefer Microsoft exclusives like Halo and Gears. If they don't have a PS4 and have been holding off since Scorpio rumors have been floating about, the Scorpio will probably be right up their alley.

don't use logic bro

you need to be like other cows, bad.

I see MSoft pivoting away from consoles and into the pc market more and more. I was lucky to switch from consoles to pc a couple months before the Xbone and PS4 dropped. Seeing how Msoft is pivoting, I view my choice as the right one for me.

@primorandomguy: when I mentioned 1 exclusive and some multiplats I meant that they will fully utilize the power of the Scorpio.

Again you're wrong since anything that is Play Anywhere will be Scorpio ready and MS have already stated this. So Gears, FH3, HW2, RE7 etc. will be in 4K.

@primorandomguy: Don't waste your time. The almighty Scorpio has done irreparable damage to the psyche of many posters here, even before its reveal.....daily threads like these will continue for now, they are amusing for the most part.

Scorpio is simply another hardware entry point for power enthusiasts, that is all. They released the XOne Phat, then S, and soon Scorpio. Its not there to take over the world or destroy the PS4 or Switch, personally I dont think Microsoft is hiding anything huge. Looking forward to E3 and the reveal, that's about it. Not much else to think about now as far as I'm concerned.

Lol yep. Well said.

Its funny because you'd think if these people actually believed in what they are spouting, they wouldn't waste their time making these endless threads about Scorpio failing... Seems they need to constantly reassure themselves or something...

I wouldn't mind that. As a mainly PC gamer, Xbox has nothing for me right now. Meanwhile, PS4 has built up quite a few exclusives I would actually like to play. At this point I'm likely to pounce as soon as a good PS4 deal pops up. I'm vaguely interested in Switch but not until they have a lot more first party stuff out. The only thing I want to play on it right now I can get for the Wii U. They really should have waited on releasing Sun and Moon and released the Switch along side a Switch Sun and Moon version. Zelda is good system pusher, but that would have sky rocketed them.

Microsoft is a PC OEM vendor and Scorpio covers desktop gaming market segments that are not covered by PCs.

Scorpio is effectively a snapshot for a gaming PC with Vega 11 Pro later this year.

Scorpio's APU is designed to reduce labor cost which is important for mass production.

Microsoft's Surface Studio has GeForce GTX 980M option..

Microsoft's future Surface Studio to offer GeForce 10 "Pascal" series PC VR ready GPU.

Why didn’t Microsoft just go with one of NVIDIA’s new VR Ready 10-series mobile GPUs? An engineer from the Surface team told me that the Surface Studio spec was locked down some time before that line was introduced; it seems likely that future iterations of Surface Studio will pick up a 10-series card at a minimum, and be properly VR Ready across all configurations.

GeForce GTX 1060 3G's cost is higher than RX-470 4GB.

RX-480 4 GB racing down to $144.95

GeForce GTX 1060 3GB has $179.99. NVIDIA is refusing to engage AMD on a commodity price war.

I saw no 480 at less than like 168 on that page, and the vast majority of 480 models on pc part picker were above 200.....

Also, Nvidia die hards would say that the little extra price is due to the extra features Nvidia cards have (That I never used with an nvidia card) and superior driver support (which I dont see, having a 380x 4gb for the last year, with extremely frequent driver updates).

I guess Scorpios biggest enemy is MS putting their games on PC as well. I own pretty much every system, but I have no need for Scorpio with a gaming rig. (and I love it. I hate to buy weak systems for exclusives)

Flopio will flop harder than pancakes. That shit is D.O.A. The only people that will buy it are hardcore lems, everyone else will be either on Switch or PS4 where the games are.

What will be a flop? Would be good to know what you think a flop is in terms of sales. Since Microsoft isn't expecting big sales, you shouldn't either.

Im not sure if scorpio can even make an impact right now. Most of the games are multiplat. Sure there will be some advantage but does it warrant another purchase? Unless MS can launch a killer IP along with it. I can see it selling as the pro maybe even lesser. On the other hand, switch offers new gaming experience. tbh im sold with switch. I might pick it up later this year.

If you're not into the whole Halo, Gears, Forza combo and don't have a platform for multiplats, then I see very little justification in purchasing an Xbone.
