Sony announces end of Vita 1000 support (Sony's Response)

That's weird they would say a system that was already no longer being sold is legacy now(vita 1000). Seems fishy to me.

When they say "support" they mean updates and whatnot right? Anyway, my vita already justified its purchase with Persona 3 Portable, Persona 4, Muramasa Rebirth and Killzone Mercenary. Still want to try Tearaway and Uncharted GA aswell. Its enough for me. Only gave 125 euros for a 1st generation vita anyway so I'm good

Hardware wise it factually isnt. Software wise is a matter of opinion. The very few exclusives the vita has are more interesting to me then the bunch of 3DS exclusives. That and the fact I can play some PSP games I skiped made it the better choice for me

A sad day, a fantastic device ... if only nintendo would put even a shred of effort into their hardware... a Nintendo device with the Vita's form/functionallity would be the messiah of handhelds,,, f*ck the extra cost... people would pay it anyway.

Hardware wise it is also a matter of opinion. I strongly prefer the clam shell design as it is vastly superior for a portable device. Carrying around a Vita is a nightmare.

Design =/= hardware

there is more to a system then cpu and gpu power. Its the whole package the case, layout,screens ect. i also think the os is much better as well.

The "update" is damage control. This whole thing coincides with the rumor/leaked price drop of the Vita to $89.

On topic, I would instabuy a Vita for $89 just for the remote play/tons of cross buy/play/save things it has.

still does not deny the fact design and ergonomics arent Hardware. Hardware wise the vita is better than the 3DS. Ergonomics, yes, its subjective.

3 of them are in this house and 3 3ds consoles :p

its a pity since it has awesome power for a handheld and proper controls, been playing monster hunter 4 and wishing it was on my vita :p

meh i loved the psp for it's rpgs and it looks like the vita is gonna be getting loads :)

And to think I ranked on the 3DS for it's mediocrity at the time (2011).

This is sad......but PSVita is awesome.But again i can play all my favorites PS1 and PSP games on PSVita.
