Ok, but it is actual news. Obviously its true. I commend Kotaku. Why would you want Sony to Bully them like that. I like REAL news. I like breaking stories.... Anyway...like I've said before Sony is not original. So lame. The not only copy the Wii with the nunchuck, they copy the 360 with its two SKUs and controller set up....BUT NOW they copy Miis and achievements. Sony now ridiculous

This isn't some little leaked screen of a game , this is considered tipping off the competition in a way. They were asked kindly , but Kotaku does their own thing unfortunately.

They didn't sign an NDA so they weren't bound by anything other than...um, politeness (WTF?)...to keep the "rumor" secret. All the same, they can't really whine about it since Sony has every right to shut them out. Most people will see it as Sony's mistake, though, since it only hurts their reputation within the media outlets they rely on the create hype for their products.

It's not Kotaku's job to make sure Sony's news is released in the way Sony wants it. I think it is terrible that Sony feels it should be able to dictate to Blog sites what the can and can't print.

I guess Sony wanted to be the one to announce somethin postive for a change..but oh well who cares now..the rumor was true anyways..I think that the reason why sony didnt want it up there..lol..anyways.sony step up and make everythin right again...Im just lookin forward to some more news from them in GDC..

I'll give Sony credit for actually listening to the market for a change.  The Internet screamed "FOUL!" and Sony actually apologized for being a bunch of jerks.  I just wonder if they did their takebacksies fast enough to advert any more damage to their public image.

wow i knew cows were brainwashed but this is just amazing to hear

there is such a thing as freedom of the press...a journalist's job is not to spit out the company line but to do independent reporting, to give their readers and the public an independent account of the happenings of the day

i can't believe cows are defending what sony did, it is truly blind fanboyism, worse than anything else i've seen on these boards

a simple "no comment" from sony would have been fine, but they had to go and use strongarm tactics to try and repress a story...shameful, just shameful
